Since the trinity expansion i get constant game lock ups and the game crashes and I have to restart the client This may be down to trinity or it may be down to the fact i am now running windows vista I dont know
( I havent been in the tournament but I am guessing someone else must have had this problem as well)

To be honest, I have not had a bad stream. Not a single time in 3 days, and I've been watching from first to last fight.
Best job to date with the stream, whatever they're doing, for me its working great. Shame to hear that this isn't the case everywhere, might want to check and see if its not just EVETV that's having DL problems for you.

Had a completely stable stream for all 3 of the days, simply opened it in Mediaplayer 11 and watched it fullscreen.

He's talking about people warping off right as the match starts because they got dropped etc etc etc...
but yes I have seen quite a few drops in this alliance tourney as well... kinda weird but you never know what the network at their place is so... Could be a gazillion things, ranging from a faulty NIC or LAN Cable, to their ISP to CCP's network code bugging out..

Disconnections are the nature of the beast.
If you read the TOS of any ISP in the world they say some version of "we do not guarantee that your connection will ever be up". This is how networks work. They're an inherently unreliable technology.
You then add to that the problems caused by people's machines (which people will always deny exist, but in reality make up probably 50% of disconnects), people's home networking equipment, the servers themselves, and the software, and you have a million ways in which you can be disconnected, none of which can be controlled or avoided by any technology on the planet.

in the current ccp hardware set up, isp`s and the networks that make up the internet yes its unreliable, but the technology is there to make it very reliable, its just ccp and the ISP`s have not or not willing to put the cash into they software/hardware.

I think its got more to do with what ISP you have. I practically never ever get disconnected, not even in Jita with 900 people. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Kreul Intentions ([email protected]) |
