I have been hanging out in low-sec for a a while and I have had the occasional run ins with pirates who try to gank me in belts or at gates. I will say that I have no problem with pirates ganking me or trying to gank me in belts or as I am on missions. The threat of danger posed by pirates adds some spice and fun to low-sec. I will say that personally I think Gate Camping is fairly lame, but I recognize it is part of the game and CCP has made some allowances for the smart player to at least have a chance to beat most low-sec gate camps.
That being said, I think pirates station camping is beyond lame. Recently a gang of three moved into the system I have been hanging in and have made a habit out of station camping. Most of the time by the time the black screen fades to the games screen I am locked, scrambled, webbed and loosing shield. Short of staying in the station when these three ******-bags on in local I can think of no way to counter this. Any suggestions on how to beat the station camp?

You could get gang of your own to try and kill them. Otherwise just dock again.

What you're saying doesn't make sense tbh. There is a brief period of time after you undock where you can't be targeted unless you "do something". If you're being locked and fired at before your black screen finishes then you're telling us that it's taking 20+ seconds for you to undock. It just doesn't seem right.
But, as to your problem... you can make what's called "insta-undocks". To do this, pick a time when you're the only one in local (or there's no pirates camping the station at least). Undock from the station, then fly straight out from your undock point for at least 100km. Bookmark that point. Now, when you undock you can select that bookmark and it'll fly you straight there almost instantly (or at least as fast as you can select it) because you undock at full speed.

Yeah the only way u could be having such problems is with really bad lag...by using the insta...thing and spamming that as u exit (like after ur ship is killed u spam the "warp to" button to avoid being pod killed) u should be able to get into warp before being targeted...

Being station camped isn't usually as bad as some folks make it for themselves. The instaundock is a good tip for stations you spend some time coming and going from. My advice would be to make it not just 100km off station but make it off-grid. Putter out in a straight line from the undock point in a shuttle until you no longer see the station or station guns. If you don't have an instaundock and believe your camped, then pop out in a shuttle and see if there are any celestials (planets, belts) that are close to a direct line from your undock point and use one of them (don't warp to zero or a hundred in case you are followed). If you see something that looks good then dock up and switch out of the shuttle.
Most station campers are going to have a more difficult time locking a frig and more agile cruisers (like the Stabber) so if you are in one of those you often won't have a problem anyway w/o the insta. If it's only 1 or 2 campers and you're in a bigger ship, just fits a couple WCS and a few istabs and then dock somewhere else to refit your ship.
Best thing when possible is preparation. Successful inhabitants of low-sec prepare for the worse. Make instaundocks and spread a few ships at a couple different stations. If the station you are at is just silly camped then hop in a shuttle and scoot over to your other cache and get on with your business. If you are a beginner - sticking to small ships will help prevent a lot of unnescesary losses at stations and gates. All the L2s can be done in small, quick cruisers or destroyers or even rifters. All the L3s can be done in AFs. No need to mission in low-sec in BCs and bigger as a rookie unless you want to contribute to Ard's Pleasure Pub. Your donations are appreciated though.

Thanks for the advice. I don't know how or why they could lock, scramble and web me before the black screen disappeared, it has only happened with that gang and at that particular station. The station was my base, but I am going to be moving most of my assets to high sec and just keep enough for refits in this low-sec system.

You don't need to move most of your gear to high-sec. Just find a "dead" station near you. Find one with few or no decent agents (especially the agents the macrohaulers like) and no clone bay facilities. If it doesn't have research or manufacturing facilities that's an added bonus. There are plenty of stations like this in low-sec that maybe see a handful of pilots docked at them in a day. Folks that like to station camp don't usually bother with camping those.
