10 thousand???????????
I know 20e usually has like 2000 each day, but...
I've had days when I alone have killed like 600 NPCs.
GJ, I guess.

Assuming the average NPC bounty was 85k, that's 850M isk-worth of NPC pwnage.
Sweet!

Assuming the average NPC has been giving as much isk in loot as in bounty, double that.

Can we confirm that this system spawns BS NPC's ? If so, i'll have to contact Xetic about some loot. _______________________________________________

Well josh, i can garantee you they wouldnt put that much time into killing NPC's if it was just 85k's. I am betting it was a 1 mill 2 750k battleship spawn. (dont know what the NPC race is in Xetic space)

I checked that in system this afternoon with a pilot curious to know what was happening (exploit?). A XIF corp had been farming there for like 14 hours non stop at least with quite a lot of Battleships. No real BS spawn from what I heard. Loot was cruiser loot... Some nice mods and nice 720mm too... (from my knowledge npcs drop named 720, 650 etc... proj and some named H50 as well as projectile damage mod... etc...).
I don't think i would have mentaly survived such a long farming op ^^
Galaga (Galaxian - XIF corp) And yes, Olyyy is on our KOS list so she enjoys stirring the "flames" ( 2004.05.25 ) |

You stole 4 BS, i think 10 Cruisers and some indus.
What you of course do not mention is that CCP is currently looking into your action because the pilot that found the ships was constantly logging in and out for 30 minutes right before he found the camp.
I will leave it for CCP to find out if you used an exploit or not.
Anyway, i would estimate that what you stole is only worth half of what that those NPC hunters made in 1 day. And that was only 1 corporation.

Let me guess - you parked some ships at the spot you warped to after logging out or something?
Or do ships stay in space constantly if you log out in space?

Infinity, i know that IGS is pretty good.
And i did not accuse them of using exploits. I just wrote what that person did before he found that camp. Maybe it was conincidence or not.
It just made me supsicious, especially since i know that the people that made those safe camp know they business.
One more small comment though, if i knew such an exploit i would also be able to find "any" safespot with an elite-frigate.
Maybe you care to enlighten us, how to do it in thirty minutes without exploiting.
For me it was not an exploit until i am told otherwise.

dukath from evol and a stain member, spent like 6 hours locating them ships and split them half. 2 battleships each etc.

Grumpf, it all depends.
If the XETIC members simply logged off and back on and bm'd the spot 1M km away as their safespot, it would be very easy to find.
Hell, chances are logging off and on would give you a pretty good chance of appearing in the same spot.

Edited by: sutty on 07/04/2004 15:45:36 nah because about 3 hours before they actually goto the ships I remember dukath saying they was 6million km away.
"since i know that the people that made those safe camp know they business."
you saying in your alliance there is a designated few who make safe spots ? I noticed alot of curse ( although now much improved ) and xetic safe spots are on the poorest level around. you could of atleast made them ships sit 150 au from anything

Well, i personally cant believe putting that many ships in a compromisable safespot anyway.
U should know there are safespots that actually cant be found ? Afaik, they arent hard to make either.

If you ask your combat pilots, you'll know I found 2 Xetic safespots. First one was a HC safespot in DSS where 4 were hiding. 3 managed to warp out, the 4:th got ganked when our gang warped to me (he was a bit afk). Second was a STV safespot in 3GD. Unfortunately, all but 1 had logged/left when we found it (we, cause I first closed it down to 3700km range, then an IGS interceptor flew to it with dual MWD). While the scorpion there was awake and managed to warp out, we saw to which planet he warped, and he got ganked there.
But why would we tell all our enemies how to find "safespots"?

sure, if u log out, ure ship¦s logs out as well.
these ships were "parked". It was like the Sixt HQ.
we scouted for them almost 4 weekends, ¦cause this safespot was good.
On last saturday we heard some smacktalk from xetic in local like: "... u don¦t know algebra, u¦ll never gonna find that spot. Ohters have tried it before....."
Yeah, we know algebra, we know triangulation, we even know old pythagoras, smartasses. we even did some calculations with a corp mate (a mathematian) 3-D graph modelling.
And than we came up with an idea.
To sum it up. You were so damn sure about it, we had to do it
And btw, as i am writing this posting kloisen and some other guys from xetic are logging in and out .. whatever that means. Most of your ships are already moved out,and we paint them baby blue, so if u visit dss next time, don¦t lock your own ships |
