yesterday i was checking the prices in Trade channel and so someone telling the people it would cost to buy a Thorax for 7m ..... pfftt. Thats a totally lair.
Many of the prices in Trade are really scam. Better compare the prices with escow market or check the normal market.
If you are a newbie and someone tries to scam you. write maybe a petition :D

How is selling a Thorax at above-average prices a "scam"?
It's not the sellers fault the buyer can't be arsed to research before purchase.
That's like accusing Dixons of unfair trading because the customer didn't look at Argos catalogue before buying a new toaster!

7m for a Thorax is completely normal, if a little high. I think it's the NPC corps default price.

Ok, my little analphas :
This guy was agumenting that to BUILT a Thorax cost him 7m millions.. oK ?
He want more then 7m and if he is lying this is a scam .... oK ?

Er...no. To manage to sell someone a product at a higher price then it is worth is just good business sense (and BTW, a Thorax IS worth seven million ISK.) An exploit is to sell a "THORAX" on escrow for 5 mil, and hope the poor sap doesn't inspect merchandise before he ends up with the world's most expensive shuttle...and even then, it's more the stupidity of the buyer than the evilness of the seller (and those who use escrow are pretty well-versed in the game mechanics anyway.)

7 million for a Thorax is not unusual by any means. I've seen them sell for as much as 8 million in some areas.
The market is fine in empire as long as you aren't selling things for a loss. Whenever I see people selling ships for less than the ore price even, I just buy them and turn around and put them back up for what the price should be.
Nice way to supplement my income.

well, maybe he buys his minerals for high prices -> expansive ship....like you said, it would cost HIM 7m...not everyone... have to quote you again: to read a post AND think can help ;p

Reading what you typed the first time...a couple times...never states he said it was cost to build the Thorax. Your first post states cost to buy, so the guy in the trade channel is correct.
Secondly, people giving higher price than the build cost isn't a scam, its called trying to make a profit.
Last but definatly not least. Don't petition a 'scam' as the GM's and CS people will tell you straight out that it's part of the game. If you don't watch yourself, then it's your fault for being dumb.

Granted, these guys that sell an apparent 'Megathron Battleship' for 86 mil only for it to turn out to be a shuttle or velator ARE idiots.
But to be honest, where's the exploit? This goes on in the real world, and if you are too bone idle to double-clicky the escrow, then I say more fool you. They aren't exploiting any of the game mechanics, just posting bogus deals. 
However, these guys should be dragged out into space by their nuts, chopped up and delivered to each faction of the galaxy as a warning to stop being wise ass losers

Ha! That's the ***** way. Whenever I try to scam people on escrow (my 10 mil "TANK CEO CORPSE" never seems to move :( ) I use my default character like a man, and if I actually DO trick someone and they get ****ed, I have to deal with it. You know, kind of like in real life where grifters can't hide behind another person to do illegal stuff. :P

Notice most smart people will not get scammed. only the gullible and stupid.
I have sold a typhoon * cough aka mammoth on escrow before..it is there fault for not inspecting before they buy.
Same thing applies during the trade window..
Its not wrong to make hundreds of millions of isk off stupid people.
