Sorry if this question has been asked before... I didn't see a way of searching the forums for an answer.
I have recently started a trial account for EVE and I am planning on purchasing the full game soon, but there is something I was just wondering. What things can I currently not do in my trial that I will be able to do in the full game?
The reason I ask is I want to know if I should stick with the full 21 days I have with my trial and then buy the game or if buying the game now will open up lots of new opportunities to enjoy that are restricted from the trial.
Thanks in advance.

You can't send money to other players during trial. That's all I've come across .

there are some skills that you cannot train while on a trail account ... but I'd use up your 21 days training for the stuff you want, and having fun then have a long skill training when it reaches 21 days - and activate it when that finishes [if your away for a few days sort of thing - and not able to play] that way you get a few days of training in for free
though you will probably be hooked by then and want to play straight though .,,, -- BIG Lottery, BIG Deal, InEve & Portrait Server

No transfering ISK. Possibly not able to create contracts. Severely limited in learing spaceship command skills, limiting you in what ship types you can fly. Unable to post in any other forum besides rookie help. That's about it AFAIK.
And of course players will be less likely to accept someone in their corp that's still on a disposable free account.

Thanks guys, I just find it a little odd that they give you 21 days to enjoy the game (which I have done so far!) but then if you get hooked and decide to buy the full game during your trail, you sacrifice those remaining free days!

Do you? I seem to recall in my own case that they just tacked on those remaining trial days to my paid account. Maybe I am wrong?

Pretty sure that this is correct. ---- In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Addams |

I think you can petition to get the free days added back.

I've been told in game by a GM that the 21 Day Free Trial is invalidated as soon as you upgrade your account to a paid subscription...
Maybe this is because the 21 Day Trial is all tied into Steam.

meh, GMs lie all the time
when I created an alt on trial and upgraded to a full account, I got the extra time tacked on the account that I had left, but that was a regular 14-day trial account. The whole Steamy thing i dunno bout but I'd think it'd be strange to loose that time

You should use up your free time, no doubt.
There are some spaceship command skills you can't plug in, but they're all clearly labeled in the description. And frankly I don't think you're likely to need any of them in the course of a free trial.

I found that using my free trial time to train up my learning skills was great. Sure you can't fly a bunch of ships, but hey, in Eve, a fortnight is nothing. Wait until you start training battleships 5 or something
You can accomplish a lot in the trial time, even more so with the steam version. I think the only annoying thing (for me anyways) was not being able to fly a hauler during the trial.
Meh, this game is too fun to not pay to play anyhow.

When upgrading to a full account, there are two methods to use. EVE Time Codes (ETC or GTC, whatever you want to call them) can be used at any time and add onto the time an account will be active. Adding a code to a trial account keeps the remaining trial time. Activating an account with a time code does NOT lose any time from the code for 'activation'. Credit card payments use a different system and overrides the normal system. (This loses remaining days on the trial) The first month costs an extra $5 for 'activation'. After the first month, credit card payment options open up with lower per month costs for long term subscriptions, including year-long. _______________________________
