Something is seriosly amiss with the mechanics of this game.
Do this:
Fly to Nonni.
Set a bookmark to Yulai.
It should take you 2 jumps regardless of whether you Prefer shorter/safer/less secure.
Now click on "Try to stay out of pod killing zones" and it takes you through 16 0.4 and under systems.
In other words you're in more danger jumping into Yulai than you are flying to Passari/Mara.
WTF? That just seems...wrong.

WTF? That just seems...wrong.
It's been like that for quite some time, and is something I've tried to bring up with the Devs, either thru emails or begging the CSM participants to ask about.
It's really not fair to newbs who are told to use the ""Try to stay out of pod killing zones" option when travelling, only to see them shot after 12 jumps thru low-sec space on a trip that should have only taken 2 jumps.
