Hello As empire ganking (jihadswarm) is more and more (really ?) common, can somebody can make a table of what is the maximum value of your cargo hold by hauler class type you should not go over to avoid to become a juicy target for pirates that cargo scan
let consider that : -hauler are 'tank' fitted -maxed out skill -not autopilot -pirate attack you to make money not for political/economical/dogmatic questions

My rule is 100m in a t1 hauler(tanked or untanked), no limit on a blockade runner(because its invulnerable outside of jita), and 1.5-2b in a freighter.
To deal with jita lag, I have a super plated mega with 3 trimarks for moving low volume but high value stuff 1 jump out of jita.

I'd say 31mil. It costs 15mil to get a t1 fitted raven, so if the cargo survives 50% of time, 31mil in cargo is already profitable to gank.
Don't think theres a hauler that will survive a raven with 6 siegelaunchers + 2 blasters in highslots, scram, sensorbooster and rest targetpainters in medslots, 4 bcu in lowslots.
For hauling stuff i prefer a sigil with 3x agility rigs, and a mix of t2 inertia stab and nanofibers in the lowslots. Enters warp almost immediately after decloaking.

It costs more like 100 mil to get a T1 fitted Raven if you go for cheap T1. 35 or so mil for insurance and you'll recoup what, 105 mil when it gets destroyed? So really it costs 30 mil for a T1-fit Raven (135 mil for ship/fittings/insurance minus 105 mil from insurance payout.)
31 mil in the cargohold of your victim is only profitable to gank if it all survives and you keep it all for yourself if you're ganking with a Raven (or any tier-2 BS.)
Or did I just say a bunch of nonsense

Guess I've just gotten lucky with my alt hauling out 200+mil in a T1 hauler named "T2 BPOs".
Oh well ------------

You can get Ravens for 90m, or make them yourself for less. Payout is something like 109-110 iirc. That really narrows down the cost of a Raven after insurance.

I can still make the two tier 1 bs that I checked up on, fit them with 800-1050dps worth of firepower + mwd + web + scram (not that you need them, but wth), for 0 isk on the low end with some planning and effort, to 10mil on the upper end with very little effort.
That's including BS bpc, insurance, gear. And that's with my limited skills, not all L5 skills.
Maybe I'll check up on Raven costs someday, but I doubt it since I consider it a lesser choice for this activity.

Surley its the Alpha numbers that are important not the DPS, I'm sure a reven wont get of a second volley.

In 0.5 or 0.6 space, Concord takes over 20 seconds to respond.
Assuming a 6 second ROF on the raven, it'll get 3 volleys off. -- Ralara / Ralarina |
