i did worlds collide mission yesterday and the overseer bounty was 4.85 mil. I was shocked since in one of the ingame sites it said bounties are inbetween 700k-3.5 mil (about) and that its very rare to get anthing in the high amounts.
so was i just extremely lucky? or does anyone know of a way that the bounty is effected by something you do during the mission.
i made about a 100 mil on the loot alone so i'm kinda wanting to know if i can get it again ;)

The Overseer can be anywhere from 300k to 12.5 mil or some high number like that, the higher the better... and of course, the rarer. I've killed over 20 overseers and they have all been less than 1 mil bounty and have all dropped T1 junk.

It's just luck, you can sometimes make an overseer spawn by activating th jump in gate repeatedly on worlds collide, but 9.99 times out of 10 it will just be a 500k bounty with T1 loot.
I warped into the serp room and there was a 7mil mil bounty overseer the other day, made over 750mil(Large shadow tower BPC and some nice armor hardeners) in one kill. Still thats the only time I've got a decent one.

Its EXTREMALLY rare spawn.
For instance i mostly dont get overseer at all post trinity and if some odd happen its few hundred k.
From some other mission runners i know i could only extrapolate chance on it and its something like 0.1% for few m overseer (ofcorse i may be wrong its only rough extrapolation on sample)

if the overseer bounty is much higher than standard 700k or so, it's probably going to drop a faction item

i had a overseer on the serp side.4.7mill bounty...drop a snake alpha,3 run shadow serp warp scrambling battery,tag and ammo

heh me too been doing WC 4 for ages never got the overseer spawn till yesterday...while i was salvaging room two not paying much attention and my dedicated salv coercer was smoked in a matter of seconds 4.8m bounty though and a few true sansha trinckets made it less painful a loss.
So how about bringing back AE CCP?

you should use a salvage armageddon ;) better cap more cargo and 5 heavy drones to dedicate to your cause
