The CSM 7 election process has started with increasing momentum as well as some degree of controversy. 
As announced in previous episodes of Lost in Eve, we will be holding another debate forum for our CSM 7 candidates. The debates will be handled somewhat differently than in the previous sessions on Lost in Eve in terms of its format. The debate sessions will take place on Saturday, February 25th and Sunday, February 26th. Each day has two reserved times with a maximum 4 participants each debate. See below for latest updates on who is attending and when:

IMPORTANT: If you are running for CSM 7 and are wanting to take part in this event, you must EMAIL me (lostineve[at]gmail.com) and include your skype name AND preferred debate session in the same mail. Do not use evemail or reply to this thread. I will not answer them. This thread is only used for conversation, feedback, and / or for questions that people might want to have considered to be asked for the debates.
To be eligible to attend this event, you must have (or do) the following:
Requirements for the debates:
1. You must have '100 likes' on your EVE-O forum thread (as per CCP rules)
2. Must speak English (yes, even in New Eden, it's the global language of choice)
3. Must use Skype (reliable connections preferred so no downloading of...entertainment during the debates)
4. Must have a well working microphone (crackling, feedback, and bumping noises suck....farting and burping...that's up to you.  )
I will aim to push these out as fast as possible so you, the listener have a chance to hear these with enough time to be able to make your choice when the voting period begins.

This was a target to have it live, first in video format, then I thought of it through live radio but unfortunately I couldn't contact those at the respective radio station(s) in time to arrange it.

I am sorry we somehow had technical issues, I had planned my entire Sunday planned around it.
I know the organizers put a lot of work into this but I wanted it made clear, I just didn't blow this off, I made every attempt to participate.
I do want to thank the folks that held these debates and since a number of candidates were not able to participate I encourage to host more. I would love to have another chance to participate.
I really wanted folks to have a chance to hear the one candidate that will make mining my primary focus. And not just more isks, more challenges, new content and most importantly more fun!

CSM 7 Candidate It is OK, we got the pre-eminent mining candidate in the debate already. He lead a large alliance called the Mining Coalition, you might have heard of them.
And mined for 8 years, I've run an active mining corporation for 6 years and mining alliance for 5 in null, low sec and high sec......
If this candidate is the "preeminent" candidate, where is this other campaign focused on improving mining as major focus, I've looked at the other candidates platforms and I haven't seen that.
They might have been mining for a long time but they either thinks it isn't enough to campaign on or thinks its fine as is.

I would have liked to meet you are well.
Please consider posting in my forum post about what you would do for miners in Eve if elected. So far none of the other candidates have even bothered to show the miner's of Eve the courtesy to share what the miners can expect from them if elected.
(and sorry about the snarky comment about personal forum likes but I find it pretty offensive to be told by another candidate to drop out of the election at this point.)

If this candidate is the "preeminent" candidate, where is this other campaign focused on improving mining as major focus, I've looked at the other candidates platforms and I haven't seen that.
They might have been mining for a long time but they either thinks it isn't enough to campaign on or thinks its fine as is.

I have a feeling that you may be trying to use the right click "Save as" feature? if so that won't work until you click the link to lostineve.net. When you are there, there are two links. One is a player for the streaming version. The other is the actual direct download to the mp3 file. That's the one you want I think?

I consider streaming a form of downloading.
I can load http://www.lostineve.net/2012/02/27/lost-in-eve-csm-7-debate-3/ fine
I click "listen via stream" and get "file not found".

Rather than wasting your candidacy time complaining about what others do, you could consider being a bit more wise like some other candidates that couldn't make it and consider trying to arrange an additional time with me.
There are perfectly good reasons for this and voices from the void getting the exposure we have...it's called volunteering for the community through hours of preparation, recording, editing, and fast publishing to help people like YOU get more exposure (like in Lost in Eve's case over 12 000 downloads worth in just a few days). That might be just one reason this has been stickied. |

I mean, its not like this is even a comprehensive cover of all the candidates or anything. You covered something like 11 (?) candidates out of 40.
I'm perfectly happy that i didnt spend an hour and a half playing fantasy CSM. Heck, not that i'm trying to put you down or anything, but if the most influential candidate deems it unneccsary to appear on either of your 'debate sessions' then im pretty happy giving it a pass myself.

That 'most influential' candidate couldn't make it despite wanting to. Just like you. Just like some others that unfortunately couldn't make it for one reason or another. That influential candidate is also one of others that have made efforts to try to get in on the show, but you wouldn't know that of course. Just like other candidates that (understandably due to RL) couldn't make it but still want their voices heard have done the same thing. It seems' you are too busy making assumptions and comments criticising something you couldn't attend and through it all are expecting the impossible with regards to having comprehensive coverage on all participants over a two week period spanning across three major timezones. 40 people...Seriously? On a volunteer basis..to cover all people? Ummm...no.
Taking swipes at the efforts that people in the community make for YOU are definitely going to help your campaign. Good luck with that.
