You can put sell orders on market.

Yes. Get a hauler, put a mining laser on it and park it in .9 or 1.0 space next to a large Veldspar Asteroid. Though the Goons are making this not such a good idea as of late.

Sell orders can process when you're not in the game (sold some stuff last night in fact). If you're an industrialist your factory jobs also run when you're offline.
Other than that there's no way to actively make money while offline without a third party "botting" program which is against the terms of use and could lead to a closed account.

Yes. When I need to make cash, spend 30 min setting up T2 manufacturing, and deliver them 16+ hours later.

Many ways. Market orders (buy low, sell high), research agents (collect the datacores from RP and sell them), POS based moon mining (logistical headache though), manufacturing (build, sell later).

You have to find the profit opportunity like a good telardi, so become well travelled.
You don't get all the tools u get in X here, this is the real world when it comes to game economics, u can't sub contract to an automated process that you own like X, all of those functions are other players in the universe that is eve. So joining the market place is at this stage of the game the only way, u can make stuff on most character builds straight out of the generation vat, either reprocess standard equipment you get as rat droppings or mine for the materials (but you can make a profit by selling ore and buying the mineral if you have bad refining skills). Avoid major trade hubs they are being worked by too many people, go to mission hubs, they'll buy ammo and missiles if all they do is mission and rat and turn the ocassional rookies can.
Later in the game many other opportunities open up, but that takes time, lots of it.
