Edited by: Jaabaa on 08/03/2008 00:48:23 you might find yourself trying to rotate the screen for a better view and find yourself selecting icons on the desktop (like me just now)
Edit: BTW, my desktop background is this -- EVE Mobile Skill Planner V3 !! http://evemsp.sourceforge.net/ |

Too late. These days the only screenshots I use as wallpapers are either taken in such a way that I know it's not "live" or shopped enough to create the same effect.
Strongest reflexive response I've got from a screenshot was back in my BF1942 days. It looked like an innocent enough wallpaper of me running on foot through the desert, but there was this thing in the distance... Namely, a sniper on a hill far away. It was just a few pixels but I knew it was a sniper (as I got shot by the bastard a few seconds after I took the screenshot.
I never got used to that one, some twitch reflex in me would always kick in and I'd go "****, i'm dead" every single time my desktop image popped up. I deleted the damn thing after a couple of weeks.

lol :D
Ive been there, done that. Then gave up with eve wallpapers. Ive noticed that 99.9% of people on these forums have a signature. If you are one of the 0.1% that doesnot have a sig, copy this into your sig, and display your defiance towards people with sigs. |

Now try one with your ship sitting at a gate with the "Session change already in progress" message on the screen.

If you want to annoy a co-worker, take a screen grab of his desktop, move all desktop icons into a folder somewhere else, then make the screen grab his backdrop.
Hours of fun!

Take a screengrab, rotate it 180, set it as desktop. Then use display properties to rotate his entire display by 180. R-click on desktop > Arrange icons by.. > uncheck 'show icons'.

Done the first one to a guy at work (very funny - esp after he called the idiots in IT and it took them ages to figure out :-P).
The second is an 'evil genuis' plan - must try it

If you're feeling really evil, create a new folder on the desktop, call it "Horse <naughty images>" or whatever you want. Then take a screenshot of the desktop and use it as the background and delete the file. Before long your co-workers will be going nuts trying to get rid of it but they can't call IT due to the fact that there are "<naughty images>" on their computer

A fun game to play on your friends it to take a screen shot of their desktop. Save this image as a .png and set it as the background image. Now hide all their icons. -- yeah ok. |

whenever i watch an EVE movie i am compelled to try moving the camera for a better look at the action. Signature removed. Too large and flashing signatures are not really permitted. Navigator |

Interestingly, I've never had the problem of trying to rotate the camera when looking at EVE screenshots or watching EVE movies.
That makes me better than you.
Damn I should totally join BoB with an attitude like that.
