you can have as many jump clones as you Infomorph Psychology allows.
I don't think it matters if you are in a player corp unless you want to use clonig facilites at an outpost
depends. Some stations you do require standings others you can just pay alot of money. That is only to install the clone though. Once the clone is installed you can move else where with it and jump back at will --Bird of Prey: Forum God

I used jumpclones for implant placeholders. But if you are doing it to own with 1 ship vs another for a mission. Its kinda futile to an extent cuase of that 24 hour waiting period.
Once you can fly multi races of ships effectively (example cnr and a nightare) you can start to switch to the ship thats most effect for each given mission type. So you will find yourself hoping back and forth between ships frequently. Becuase of this jumping from 1 clone to another just to make 1 ship own better for a mission only works if you intend to fly it the rest of the day.
Its better to have whole sets dedicated to tasks that suit at day or longer worth of use. (pvp set, command ship set, mine set, mission set, explore set, etc.. whatever it is your do.)
Hope this helps.
to answer your other questions you or the player corp your in needs an 8.0 standing with a corporation you want to install clones with. There is also null sec npc stations allow jump clones. You can also buy a jump clone service off another player.
However there is an exception to this rule in regards to the player corp. If your player corp has 8.0 standing with npc corp you need to have 0.0 with that npc corp.. then your player corps standing overrides and you can install clones with that npc corp. If you have any standing with that npc corp it overrides the player corps standing (in this scenario) and you cant install.

To install a jump clone without being in a player corp you will need 8+ standing with the corp that owns the station (with medical lab) where you want to install the clone.
You can have all your clones in 0.5+ space if you want, yes. Don't jump to a clone in the same station though, because that will cause some trouble. It's best to have them at least one system apart so you don't forget. ---

What happens if you install a jump clone in one station, jump to it, and then move it somewhere else - e.g. where you don't have 8.0+ standing? Can you still jump backwards and forwards from it, or does it become trapped?
In other words, do you only actually need 8.0 standing with one corp that you use for creating jump clones, and you can then move them anywhere you want?

You only need 8.0+ standing to create the jumpclone. After that, you can move the clone anywhere else and jump from there, leaving the clone in that station. You don't need to have any standings at all then. It's quite effective to get 8.0+ standing with one corp, create a clone in one place, move somewhere else and then later create another clone in the same place, move it; rinse and repeat to get as many clones as you can (depending on your level of Infomorph Psychology).
