I have lost 2 ships in the last week a megathron is a big rat spawn and a bestower to a player rat who killed my stower just for the sake of killing something.
But I did notice one thing in both occasions there was someone else from my corp there to collect my cargo can that was left. ie the npc rats would not touch cargo and the player rat never got the chance as he warped away after destroying me.
What I was really annoyed about was every named mod gun ect i had on both occasions on my ship or in my cargo was gone destroyed in the explosion. Nothing of value was left in the cargo cans.
For example in the megathrons cargo before it was destroyed there were 14 heavy beams in cargo 3 of them named beams such as model's ect there were 5 425 rails on the mega and 5 deep core mining lasers in the cargo and some other named mods and such + aload of crap stuff such as the ammo for the rails and just crap you would recycle, after the ship was destroyed there were no 425 rails no mining lasers and no named laser's in the wreckage can..but all the ammo and most of the crap was there!!!
When i lost the bestower last night before been destroyed there was 4 alpha hull mod expanders 1 on the ship and 3 in cargo, a ammar bs skill and 4 425 railguns + minerals and assorted stuff mainly crap and 2 named 250 rails and 2 normal 250s.
After the bestower was destroyed the 425's were not there or any of the expanders or the named rails or the skill book but the minerals and assorted junk were there.
Am i just very unlucky or is this the norm now that you lose all named gear or gear over a certain isk value if you are destroyed.

Just bad luck, matey.
You must've walked under a ladder or broken a mirror at some point.

Had similar things happen to me mate. There must be a random chance of named stuff going bye bye during a ship kill and you just where very unlucky with your roll of the dice

Yeah, it might be a frightning thaught but maybe there WAS some of your rare loot left in the can but your corpm8 neglected to mention it?
I'm nto acusing anyone, im just saying it might be a possibility.
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

No I checked the can myself first I was in a pod but I could still check the can.
As regards trust no one then I disagree with that I think a certain amount of trust is needed in this game.
A corp works better if it trusts each other. " Stay Frosty "
