I rarely see/hear about them being used in missions, but i want to let my minne friends know they do not need to cross train for a perma tanking, high dps, salvage on the go mission boat. A typhoon with three ccc rigs, cruise launchers, and heavy drones go through a lv 4 quite well, and is relatively cheap. So if you can stand the look of the ship, imo it is the way to fly for missions.

Yes, typhoon is a very good mission ship. Although I prefer 1 CCC, 2 +15% armor rigs instead while filling the mids with cap regens :)

Depends..it's very skill intensive and in order to fit a tank good enough to accomodate lvl 4 missions, you forfeit damage mods.

It definitely has more potential than the other minnie ships, but to shine it really needs very good skills in three weapon departments, is problematic to fit, and it is still way inferior to the top ships like CNR and Abaddon.
And the key to a good phoon fit is not heavy drones, but sentries.
There is no 'n' in turret

I dont know about the sentry drones but this ship requires a hell of alot of skills. also u can try the passive tank like a drake and see how much regen u get :) It can really shine in passive shield tanking.
But again, projectiles , missiles and drones skills need to be very high to really get out a decent dps not talking about shield/armor tanking skills.
