hehe that was my first thought too, since the only response received on the forums on the subject was more or less the opposite of the contents of this dev blog...
It's a very welcome change though

What about all the new players, perhaps they haven't yet. You should know its a good idea to have best/greatest access to all levels of gamer.

Looks good to me.
Still don't understand the reasoning as to why the Scorpion, Raven, and Dominix have -huge- signature radius' compared to other battleships though. Considering this will really impact turret tracking, don't understand why these three ships are supposed to be so much easier to hit. ------

# The accuracy formula has been adjusted to make the Signature Radius ship stat much more significant when determining the tracking penalty. Battleships will need to use secondary methods against smaller ships by, for example, fitting smaller turrets, carrying drones or having a cruiser or frigate escort.
# We are attempting to keep tracking behavior within a ship-class close to what it was before, though with a new system requiring new numbers it won't be identical. Some other adjustments to turrets or ship's Signature Radius may be necessary, as well.
Might be the caldari un-nerf we need, the sig radius/scan res of caldari ships is simply stupid IMHO. A megathron targets stuff about 20-25% faster than a scorp.

Yeah, Caldari do seem to come dead last in a lot of categories, which is kind of annoying. I'm really looking forward to missile and electronic warfare balancing, this is where Caldari are really hurting (or benefiting) the most.
I'd like to see some cruiser loving too, let's get some real bonuses for these ships at the very least.. also with these new changes, perhaps some more drone space for some cruisers? I mean some cruisers can hardly carry any scout drones or none at all, with the new changes, having cruisers that can field more scout drones would be nice, so they can protect themselves from frigates more, as cruisers are very very vulernable to frigates right now. ------
