I did search for this info so apologies if it has been covered before.
I have been running a ton of missions till I have 8.45 faction with an NPC corp which has allowed me to install a Jump Clone. I picked this NPC corp to work for as it has medical facilities and only I in my corporation had any standing with it.
I just tried to install a Jump Clone from an alt in the same corp and it says I do not have the required standing. Where do I check what the NPC corp thinks of our player corp? I looked in our corp tool under Polotics->Standings but there is nothing in there (maybe thats for player corps). I also tried via show info on the CEO then clicking on our corporation info and that shows the NPC corp we have been working at only 1.74. Is this the correct value?
If I am the only person with faction to this NPC corp will the above value (assuming it is the correct one) gradually raise over time until it gets to 8+? Or do I need to raise my personal standing to around 10 before the Corp gets the benefit?
Thanks in advance. I am all missioned out for now!

Edited by: Ki Tarra on 10/03/2008 15:36:16 Easiest way is to Show Info on the NPC corp, select the standings tab and look at your relationship with them: it will tell you both your personal and corp standing.
Another way is to Show Info on your corp and select the Liked By standings tab: it will show all of your corp's standings with NPC corps.
With the second option it is possible for the client to cache out of date information. If your standings on that window do not appear to be updating properly, delete the %Profile%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\Eve\Machonet folder and the client will pull down the correct standings.
Note that you need +8.0 standings with the NPC corp. Faction standings are not checked for jump clone creation.
As for how your corp's NPC standings change, each downtime your corp's standings change move 50% towards the average of your corp's standings. Players who have no standings at all are not counted in the average.

Thanks a lot. I will try clearing the cache and see if this clears it up.

Cleared the cache and in the corp->polotics->Standings->Liked by it now says the corp I have been working is at 5.82. Is that likely to get higher after next DT? I did get my personal standing to over 8 in about three days so maybe it has to catch up?
Or do I need to get my personal to about 10 before the corp will get above 8?
I did right click on the faction and 'Show Composites and it shows just me in there with 7.71 which is my faction without skills I believe, so I will need to get above 8 raw, but still not sure why the corp faction is lagging behind.
Thanks a ton for the heads up on the cache, at least that is clarifying things.

In that case your corps standings will progress towards 7.71 as outlined in my previous post.
You will need an unmodified standing of +8.0 to help your corp mates.

How cool are you?
Thanks a lot for taking the time. I will work my unmodified faction to 8+ and get them to wait 5 or 6 days.
