Okay, So I've been noticing over the past few weeks a plague that is spreading our highsec haven - Jihadswarm. They claim to be cleansing highsec of heathens, but all we try to do is mine in peace, I don't see how we have ever harmed this 'goon'swarm, and the mere fact they claim some sort of religious righteousness for doing this is simply a joke and bares some real life connotations in actually offending people!
Something must be done, this can't be allowed to continue! I don't know if any of you have noticed this happening but I hope this post will alert you to the reality of it and will spur you into action!
Alongside Informing, I also hope to provide some ideas in this thread for proposed fixes to this problem;
1) I think this might be the most reasonable - Basically, similarly to how security statuses work now, CCP implements a new status in which you get a tally of highsec suicide kills, after a certain number, say 5, you then lose the ability to enter 1.0 space and then as this goes on, in multiples of 5 possibly you begin to lose entry to the lower security until you become a highsec outlaw! This would mean no matter how much ratting these people do to get good in the eyes of the law they could not enter! Maybe some sort of special 0.0 missions could be introduced in a department like 'Rehab' in which you knock points of your tally and can enter highsec again, these missions should be inherently harder than just plain ratting and will deter highsec suicides as the grinds will be ludicrous.
2) I know some of you may find the above a little too drastic so maybe instead of just barring people from highsec itself they should be barred from highsec asteroid belts after a certain amount of suicide ganks, this would stop the problem in asteroid belts and maybe they could lose the ability to lock at highsec
gates or something, or the ability to lock barges, this would not be as harsh but would still be effective but I feel because it's not as harsh there would be less deterrent for these scum.
3) One thing I feel theese 'goons' aren't realising with their antics is the affect on the player market, as of such I think another good idea might be to implement a higher tax for people that consistently suicide gank, again some sort of system can be bought in to record suicide ganks, and the more that you partake in the more tax gets added on to market items, this way they can really feel the effects we will all feel from there being no way for miners to bring in the minerals.
So what do you think? Surely you all want the same outcome as I do! Should CCP start doing something about this?
If nothing else I hope this thread has helped bring this matter to the attention of the player base who may have been naive before and I hope we can see some sort of resistance! This Can't Go on!

tbh i think it will create the opposite as some of the big alliances stand for, if it continues long enough ccp will be forced to make hi sec even more secure, which means it will feel even less dangerous as it does now.
I wonder if that is really what they want, what anyone wants.
I'm not much of a low sec dweller anymore, but the part where even hi sec isn't entirely secure is one of the things that kept it attractive, i don't want a happy happy lala land, but i'm afraid this is what it will end up like if groups like the goonies and the privies did in the past keep on doing

Going for 2 posing as 4 (a concerned citizen of eve)
If you own a Hulk, you already are very aware that you can be killed anywhere apart from inside a faction corp station in high sec space, eve is after all a non consentual PvP mmo.
All the goonies action have done is raise a question about concord kills and should it void insurance.

There are thousands of exhumers killed each week in high sec. There is no reason to change anything just because same players register a domain and stick a killboard to it.

No, CCP shouldn't do anything at all about this.
It's an in-game, roleplay issue. Player X wants to Kill Player Y. Done.
Maybe players should get together and create some solutions in order to deal with it.

Funny how most eve-players think of game-changes to fix problems instead of playerdriven initiatives.

Eh, itll be nerfed soon. Reminds me of privateers, when someone starts majorly flaunting game mechanics it tends to get dealt with.

The solution is straightforward enough. As suggested from a fellow player, your insurance reimbursement should be forfeited when your ship is destroyed by CONCORD. Why should you be compensated for a justified action against you by the authorities? Aside from that, let the players address the issue and deal with it themselves.

That is the best solution. Extending the GCF to be more than 15 minutes so that people can deal with the offender is also an option.
Of course, they could just remove highsec all together.
