I just noticed that if you add new items in your quickbar, it doesn't sort alphabetically like it did pre-patch.
Anybody else see this? Anyone found a solution to make it sort? ----------- MOP recruiting Industrialists/miners/traders/missioners/etc |

I'm having this issue as well. The quickbar in the market screen, as well as the sorting of buying/selling orders under the wallet, is essentially random. Judging by the wallet buying/selling headings the attempt is to order them by type, but that doesn't hold true. Ships, ammo, implants, drones, etc., are all mixed in together in a random pattern.
The ability to create folders under the quickbar works, but they are ordered randomly as well amongst themselves and the items not in folders. Plus, there is no way for the items to be reordered in any fashion. There is no ability to order by name, type, or any other method.
It would also help if whatever ordering functionality is built in to the quickbar would be duplicated under the buying/selling orders wallet screen. I know many traders out there use both the market and wallet windows together to update orders.

Edited by: wenxiu on 13/03/2008 16:08:18 To make things worse, not only are the items arranged randomly, you are not able to select a whole group of items (eg. shift click/drag) and move them into the folder.
The interface forces you to drag every item individually. This feature is nothing new. The People & Places window allows you to do that with your bookmarks so why wasn't that code reused?
Once messed up, it isn't easy to recover also. You can't select a bunch of items and remove them and have to do that individually. You can delete a folder and all the items contained in it but I had to move items into that folder 1 by 1 before I could batch delete the items and the folder.
Anyway, the way things are implemented on the Quickbar, it gets tedious very quickly.

It is actually faster now to use the search function to find your common items, rather that trying to pick out that one item in your quickbar list of eighty that are randomly scrambled. Quickbar is now Slowbar. Please go back to alphabetizing the list.

Good that they at least acknowledge the issue as this makes trading some 5-10 times slower and harder for me..
Not holding my breath, tho, the market issues are not exactly the top priority to CCP. The market API has been broken now for 3 months and no end in sight..
However, this sorting issue *is* game-breaking, the API is not.

Ok, here is how I worked around this:
I wrote a small program that parsed through all the market data exports (you have exported some data for all the items you trade, right? right?) and matched them with Trinity DB dumps to produce a web pages listing all the said items and a "showinfo" link to them. Alphabetically!
So what I now have is and IGB web page listing all the items I trade and where I can pick "View market details" from context menu.
It's naturally slower than using a working Quickbar, but 20 times faster than the borked Quickbar.
Strange how much spare time I had on the few days I could not run my regular trading due to this issue..
If someone feels adventurous, feel free to evemail me and I will post you the Java source code and the Items Dump CSV to you. It's hard-coded for my system so you need to at least change some paths, so do not except it to come with clicky "next next" installer or even to work without you touching the code.
