I've always loved tech 2 frigate gangs due to their agility, a swarm's ability to output some serious dps, and the potential for your opponent to underestimate you.
With the addition of electronic attack ships the frig swarm has become an attractive roaming gang again.
What I would like to have in addition to:
- tackle (interceptors)
- EWAR (electronic attack ships/stealth bombers)
- recon (covops)
- damage (assault frigates/stealth bombers)
is - LOGISTICS!
A tech 2 bantam hull for a frigate sized logistics ship!
A bane of frigate gangs is being neutralized by larger ships - shutting off your speed advantage and in some cases guns.
I would propose a tech 2 frigate logistics ship with a slot layout and ship bonuses for transferring cap. A secondary bonus could be for the racial tanking type.
ie:
Bantam tech 2 - bonus for cap and secondary bonus for shield rep.
Navitas tech 2 - bonus for cap and secondary bonus for armor rep.
They would be limited to frigate sized modules so the tech 1 logistics/mining cruiser would still have its role.
They would have limited defenses - no attack bonus - and high speed. You could roam with a speed gang, and if your frigs need some cap BAM your mini logistics ship is there to help out. Give it a limited drone bay (10m^3) to further assist logistics.
You could spider tank frigates!
You might even consider an active tank on a frigate! 
It would add some tactical flexibility and depth to yoru frigate gang.

I like it, and I see no reason why a ship class like that shouldn't exist. Let's just make sure that is isn't affected by the Logistics skill, since no one would pay - what, 25m? - for flying a logistics frig. But other than that I support it!

Idea is good, but think about it rationally.
Could this t2 ship (which would prob cost between 6-9m) do anything better than a cruiser worth 4m?
Cruiser has more cap, more slots. Better remote reppers. more armor, more shields, more drone space, more.. I can keep going if you like.

Awesome idea, WTB logistic frig!!
On the down side though, imagine how tough it would
be to keep in range for spider tank when speed is
your main tank

If we follow your logic, nobody would be using HAC over BC. So your wrong.
The idea could work. That or t2 mining frigs :p

It's called Sparrow, saw it in space piloted by a agent about a year or so ago, think iv'e still got a few pictures...
I also remember seeing somthing about "Elite mining frigate" when rightklicking it, but i can't seem to find a picture to prove this, hence it might just as well be my imagination playing with me

one idea for a support frigate as reping is very hit and miss would be for them to give a remote shield extender bonus to gang mates gives fellow frigates the chance to with stand a pounding for a few seconds.

Think Kitsune vs Blackbird. 
It would be tough to keep everyone close - so a range bonus for cap boost and tank boost would be essential. (ie 500% range bonus for cap transfer - its frig sized mods so it won't step on the Osprey/Auguror and its fast to keep up with yrou fast frig gang).
I don't want a tech 2 mining frig - mining is one situation where bigger is better. Why would you want a frigate to mine when it wouldn't have the cargo to hold any ore. It should not out do the mining barges or the Osprey.
I want a fast agile small logistics ship to act as a mini-medic for your frig gang to help it survive a little longer!

No, you're entirely correct. There is a t2 Bantam, and it was supposed to be called the Sparrow. You can't buy it or fly it, but some agents in space still have them. They're kind of cool-looking.
Of course, the idea was to allow them to equip a single strip miner. This was probably scrapped when CCP realized that an Osprey would always outmine them. Oh well.

I was actually thinking of this a while ago. I said I wanted to be in a gang, a Logistics Bantam, an Electronic Warfare Griffin, and a Destroyer. Would be great for fighting other Frigate gangs I think. If they have more ships, you just call in more ships.
