He's complaining about modal dialogs interrupting his interaction with the interface. (You know, the thing you interact with?) Not, the information. Modal windows are dirty hacks. EDIT: You could even have mailing lists where people who are interested in this sort of stuff could subscribe to announcements.

Riho	Posted - 2008.03.13 20:36:00 - [12] i have nothing against popups about info.... but i DO have a issue whit the thing that you cant click anything else before you click ok on the damn thing.... that is the most ******* stupid thing CCP has ever created.... i have allmost lost 3 ships to this... and if i loose a ship to it .... im going to make a VERY unpolite petition they should change it so you can still click stuff normally like modules and whatever. ---------------------------------- This is Me, fighting stupidity one post at a time. Please look into another method of passing info to players in game. A method that doesnt require you to click ok, or steal focus from whatever a player is doing at that time. Wad

But yes, they are nasty, they didn't used to be there long ago, they need to go back to having a big counter in the top-middle of the screen instead, one that doesn't obstruct and doesn't need to be clicked.
