Ok, there's a lot of threads and posts on here of people complaining about the patch and all the things that have gone wrong with it.
It sucks that things are going wrong - I'm sure you guys are hearing it from all sides, and I'm sure the dev team hasn't slept in like 5 days.
Just wanted to thank CCP for all the hard work they're doing in this patch. I know a lot of this stuff is backend changes that the players won't see much of - I hope it's worth it and makes ya'lls life easier.
The biggest change that I've noticed is that CCP has been more active about keeping the community updated on what's happening with the bugs and fixes for this update. It makes a HUGE difference. Good job guys - hopefully you get some sleep sometime within the next 3 or 4 days. --------- War isn't the answer. However, the objective isn't to provide answers rather than eliminate the question. |

This being the "Known issues and Workaround"-forum might make the situation look worse than it is, honestly

IDK at least 75% of the issues people post also affect myself. It doesn't seem like very many personal problems lately. - - - -

In fact, the OP is right. Developers are doing a hell of a job to keep up with the bus, let's hope they'll get those Improved Bug Exterminator IIs soon™...

As a developer myself (not a game developer though ), I must say that CCP really appears to be doing a seriously good job of handling things. Just the fact that they are trying to not only fix things but improve them along the way speaks volumes for their dedication. Yes, deployments sometimes do not go as planned despite testing beforehand, it is almost impossible to cover 100% of all possible scenarios.
For those that spend most of their time complaining on the forums about things being nerfed, I'm sorry that you will now have to work harder to do something. I've only been playing the game for just shy of a year, but every "nerf" I have seen so far, even those that have affected me, have ultimately made gameplay better. Sure, I would like to have a ship that can take on 5 or 6 players or 20+ npcs at a time without fear of defeat, or a ship that can web, neut, scram, and do 2000 dps again my opponent all day long while taking minimal damage myself, but that does not promote fair gameplay.
So, to reiterate, my hat is off to CCP's development staff for not only giving it their all, but for caring about the game and trying to make it better for the "average" player. Keep up the good work guys!
