Dear players, today's Downtime will be extended further due to deployment taking a bit longer than originally announced. We expect to have Tranquility up and open for business at about 15.00 GMT.
Ok lets get this right first off a 12 hour patch update takes 24 hours a 3 hours bug fix takes 4 hours if not longer
why dont u just stop ******* nerfing **** ccp and let the players play a game which we pay to play u guys are wasting our time and money with ur bugs . We the players should be componsated for your mess ups

I assume this is leading to an "I quit" scenario so I'll cut straight to the point..
Can I have your stuff?
Seriously....show me a game that has no downtime or no bugs...

Edited by: Jester9mm on 14/03/2008 14:14:07 sorry to say but this is a complete joke. The patch should have been right in the first place and forgive me for sounding tired and disgruntled, havn't CCP had enough practice at getting it right first time around?

Can't ya let someone express frustration. It does get a bit silly to have 24+ hour downtime for a patch and then have to repatch it a few days later. If your happy with the status quo good for you. I got a lemon I would love to sell ya.

No one is keeping Mr Personality from whining like a little baby on the forums. He shouldn't expect respect for his behavior.

As a new player with just a month in the game, this patch/repatch/workaround/repatch Etc Etc is beyond a joke. In the last 4 weeks I have been unable to logon 4 seperate times because of extended shutdowns. Let me tell you, as an experianced MMORPG player there is NO game out there that suffers these kind of persistant*****ups. This game has been out for quite some time, there is no excuse for not testing any patch or addon on a secure clone server to iron out bugs before they become an issue. Yes mistakes are made, granted, but 4 years plus experiance has taught CCP what? Nothing it seems. Yes, all MMORPGs have downtime, and the daily 11:00-12:00 reset of EVE is fine, because it is scheduled. But I pay to play, not to wonder what day I can acually get back into the game again. The very least that CCP could do is either give all paying accounts some free time back as compensation or maybe even give all players a few million ISK as a way of saying "sorry were screwing up your playtime guys, have a new strip miner on us". Wake up CCP, your here because these people love your game, it's only a matter of time before people start to find something better to do with there playtime.

erm tabula rasa was littered with bugs and issues from day 1.
also a distinct lack of content for L45+ players, which considering it only really went L 50 was an issue.
So I contest your statement, that NO game has these problems.

I didn't say "No game has these problems" I said "persistant*****ups" Meaning after 4 years tell me another MMORPG that is down this much. Tabula Rasa is new and the very reason I won't play it yet, maybe in 4 years time!
And as for Wizzard.....There are 6 gramatical errors in 15 words of your text...Kettle? Pot? Black? :->

Doesn't matter how much testing goes into a patch, the end result is never what is expected, there is always something that will creep up and bite you back, I'm speaking from experience of working as QA in software dev, give them time, it's only been 2 days since patch was deployed. |

I gotta say i wouldn't mind them implementing a way to change your skills while the server is down. I hate having to plan my skills around the basis that CCP takes twice aslong to do things as they say it will take. - - - -

I don't see this falls into a know issue or work around, or how anything constructive can come of this. I do however find it amusing the op wishes to be compensated rather than offering to help with the issue (says alot).
Just for your future threads the patch did only take 12 hours, the db took the additional time, they didn't need to do it together, you could have had 2 extended dts instead of one, and comparing eve to other mmos ive yet to see a single one with less dt than eve. -------------------------

anyone know what the "test server" is for? but just out of curiousity whats the GMT its 4am here and i need 2 swap a skill can i do this out of game ive already lost 2days as like some i work during the week i live in NZ "new zealand" so the DT doesnt effect me as its 12pm,
#1 thing to fix is Macro farmers, #2 Illegal names "gkotiwwt6" "dljdjdjdjd" and alike and #3 split Jita into 4 hubs linked thru the different race spots, so in other words 1-2 hubs in caldari space and amarr and so on all linked together so no matter where you are you can get the deals =) and last but not least.
Movable UI ie: the little window that pops up when you get hit or you hit a target. also a list of "buffs" and "debuffs" so you know what bonuses you are getting from a squad, wing member and for debuffs make warp scrambling look like your being scramm'd, so ur screen can go all blured, if anyone plays BF2142 "battlefield 2142" the effect of a EM granade would be sweet so you then will know your being hammered by a warp scram.
well thats all for now just some ideas =) fly safe n watch those pie-rats "pirates"

Geesh, lol.. If you just bought the game and hitting a pretty good size patch, well.. too bad.. sucks for you.. leave if you don't like. I for one think CCP does a pretty dang good job. I will not say that things 'seem' to be untested sometimes when a patch is released, but all in all the game overall is a damn good show.
