Hello!
I'm currently doing a level 1 epic arc (Sister Alitura). I have a Coercer and I've tried several fits, both pulse and beam lasers with various optimal ranges. None of my fits are very effective. I have a heatsink, tracking enhancer, damage control unit and an armor repairer (which doesn't really do much good). I was thinking of fitting some extra cap recharge rigs when I have the skill for it. I've replaced the tracking enhancer and the DCU with resistance plating when I fit for close range combat.
I'm basically wondering if I should use a frigate (Punisher) or my destroyer (Coercer)? And how should I fit the ship?
Thanks in advance. |

The Coercer is probably the way to go since level 1 mission enemies wont have much more trouble hitting a Punisher than a Coercer. Your fit seems sound, but if you're having trouble staying alive try to research the damage type enemies will deal out in any given mission and fit appropriate resistance plating or hardeners. Heat sinks and tracking enhancers at your level are of very little use in my opinion, just go Armor rep, DCU and 2 resists or hardeners for maximum tanking ability. Mustache |

For lvl 1 coercer makes a lot of sense, way more dps and range than the punisher. Generally you'll want a beam fit to make better use of range so you don't have to move around a whole lot. Have a look at this fit, the rigs are optional. Set your "keep at range" button to 8km and just lick it on every target you attack. Bring 3 crystal types; multifreq, standard and microwave and you should be just fine.

Thank you for your answers!
Is the Small Armor Repairer I really necessary? As far as I can tell, it doesn't do anything. In my opinion, the actual reparation it does isn't worth the amount of capacity it needs.
And you seem to have different opinions regarding the low slow modules; as I'm not experienced enough to comment on it, I'm going to try both fittings and see what suits me best. |

Train energy managment and energy systems operation up asap. Thses skills both help greatly with capacitor regen and are vital for amarr due to lasers being the most cap hungry weapon system. Armor reps are some of the most capacitor intensive moduals but are very much worth it for pve content when you can affrod to keep them running thruout the mission. |

Punisher is able to do all the Sister missions except the last one, which has an enemy ship whose tank is too strong for the Punisher to break.
Autocannons (yes, autocannons, so all capacitor is saved for the repair module), energy vampire, afterburner, small armor repper and tight orbits works great for everything except the Burning Down the Hive mission, where you need a long range weapon and a microwarpdrive or else you get swarmed and killed. |

^^^ Ditto. All of the chain is doable in Coercer. There is one boss, a few missions before the end of the chain, which will sap your capacitor at 21km range, so depending on your skills/etc you may need to get (and train up) autocannons, get real close up and blast him. The last boss you will need help with. Everything else may require fancy footwork, or trying out some new fits and strategies, but you'll crack it. |
