Hi pirates, since you might be the people best qualified in this, i thought i ask here:
If you like to kill a certain missionrunner in a missionrunner hub (caus he is full of estamel stuff), how exactly do you find him in his missionrunner deadspace pocket ?
As far as i know probing only can show you what ship type he is flying, not the shipname. And that's not very helpful in a mission-hub where at least 20 navy ravens are constantly grinding their pockets full with isk. Is there a way to probe or scan for a certain bear, i.o.w. getting the name of the ship to probing results somehow ? And what to do if that bastard changes shipnames everytime he warps to his mission ?
Getting him at a gate is not an option, this bear never leaves the system, guess he have some alts (or bear-friends) and accepts the missions with them, if he doesnt get one in his system.

get into a recon with a cloak, imho. you'll have to hit results closest to where you can narrow him down to on the ship scanner. would be quite a ***** and take a fair amount of luck, though.

Just surprise a few people... if you zoom to system map after watching him warp into a mission, and know in-general where he is on your directional scan, you can view the scan results there and narrow it down to ones in the vicinity of your directional scan.
Other than that you're ****ed ------------

Envy and Greed paired with a lack of skills is really ticking you off I bet
If you are already unable to locate him, how will you kill him before you get concordokkened? You think he's gonna stay put if you drop a fleet into his mission?
If he falls for a lofty or attacks you when you steal from his wreck, well, then he is stupid as sh*t and deserves to loose his stuff. Otherwise I would think it's kinda pointless...
But otherwise the carebear in me hopes he attacks you and manages to blow you to pieces, maybe even more than ones ------

Heh nice ideas, so i first get the approximate position and then start probing there ? Going try this . How long do you think it takes to get him this way ? The last ship scanning results showed a mix of officer launchers and 2 vepas ballistic control, guess he won't stay too long in his missions with that dps-heavy setup. Would be funny to get him, that bear's shipname is "King of Motsu" lol, he desperately needs to be killed.

You wont be able to kill him before you get concord on your A SS E --

My trick is to warp there with a badger and start collect his loot. You know thos cnr-bears with their "ueber-ships" need a lot of disciplin to hold fire, if they see t1 haulers they seem to be trigger-happy. Once he killed my hauler, i get that agression-countdown, the rest is easy (nos/neut domi + 5 heavy drones 4tw, once out of cap his overpriced modules won't be of any help ).

If you want to know the name of his ship, find out what mission station he's in, sit outside it, and wait for him to undock. Show Info on his ship will tell you the name of the ship.
Then you know the name of the ship you're scanning for.
Simple, really.

Lol i know the name of his ship, it's called "King of Motsu". What i was looking for is a method to get shipnames to my probing result. I don't want to know that there's a Raven Navy Issue that i found, but that it's the "King of Motsu", so i get it's position right after probing or know that it's another navy raven.

Love how you post his ship's name on the forums to give him a nice warning that you're looking to gank him. Even if he doesn't read the forums himself, he could have friends who'll give him a heads-up.

Well, you get ship names on the directional scanner. That means that you can determine aproximate range and direction to the King of Motsu.
Once you have that, get close, drop exploration probes, and when you get a hit in about the right place, you are probably set.
And then you just need a big fleet to gank him before concord turns up.

Well if he is in a CNR he is probably using CCC rigs. Also missles and torps need no cap to fire. Attack a well skilled CNR pilot with all those nice mods that knows to target your 5 drones in that domi and let me know how it goes.

Well, I very rarely am in empire but I do have a faction CNR though that I use on missions to make isk/raise sec status like once a year. And I wouldnt worry one second about a domi.....no matter how many drones he had

Assuming those are the only ones he have, then you'd fit a domi with 2 LARII, 4x Kinetic hardeners and a DCU II, giving you over 130k effective HP and ability to perma tank far more than 1500 kinetic damage. _______________________________________________________________________________

Good thing I always carry a selection missile types. Nothing else in the hold, since I don't loot I just load up with tons of missiles. What do you do if you're uber tanked for kinetic and he just unloads the kin and reloads therm?

LOL....with my sec status and corp history you will notice that if I do even pull it out of the hanger that its faction omni tanked and carries all damage types.

If you know the name of his ship itĘs easy.
Procedure:
1.Get him at 60 Deg on directional then check his distance, 5 au, 10au or max scanning range. 2.Open your system map, look to see if you have bookmarks at the desired range (he is at 60 Deg in front of you) 3.Warp to the nearest bookmark or make new ones by dropping bookmarks as you warp (system map still open). 4.Once at 5au use a snoop (4 au if you if you want to use a scan quest probe, (scan probes are for nubs with no proper skills or implants)) 5.When probing get him back at 60 Deg on directional, open system map and wait till you find him. (Keep checking he is still in the mission by scanning. Trinity 1.1 brought wrecks back on results, so see what he is up to) 6.Once found he will show up on the system map, set your directional to 5 Deg and point your ship at him. If it is him, his ship name will come up when you hit scan. 7.Go get yourself blown up by Concorde.
