Edited by: She Storm on 14/03/2008 17:17:13 Ok maybe this will explain the problem that seems to make so many ppl respond to my complaint with such anger.
I have been playing about 3 years now, and here's whet I see with every patch issue.
If people complain about "NERFS" to certain ships or missions or the like, I see CCP respond within like 1 day. but if people post with problems from a patch where they specifically say " Hey we can't even get the game to run...or hey we can't play with only 4fps, please fix this" ;. that gets responded to AFTER the nerf complaints and in some instances it NEVER llicets a responce.. it may get fixed after a day or 4 but we never ever get the reply, or told why it happened.
It seems , (And quite a few ppl have agreed with me ) that the people complaining about a nerf, but who can stuill play get the priority over those of use whose complaint is one stating that we can't even get the game to run, or run right.
There are times I see the complaint (read whine) posts and I get angry thinking Hey shuddap ... you can at least play even if your favorite ship is different now, or your favorite agent is gone... some of us can't even freaking play.
Lke going to a mechanic saying hey.. my battery is dead, I need a jump start to get it started and go to work, and he says .. "You'll have to wait until I tint this other car's windows, and polish his rims"

The best part about comparing this game to a car service is that its so similar to running a international single server cluster mmorpg game...

Edited by: Ex0101 on 14/03/2008 17:20:19 Its easy to pinpoint and respond about game changes, its not easy to pinpoint and respond well about technical issues.
CCP never seem to reply unless there 99% sure on something, I wouldnt either with the state and mentality of these forums most of the time.

i think it has to do with nerfs beign dicussed within ccp aswell, and they have theyre answers ready before even it gets deployed.
wiht non working clients they first would want to find out what part isnt working before they post anything, as starting speculation, by posting something and it turns out to be something else, is something you dont want usually

Because the people in charge of fixing bugs use bug reports to do it - they don't consider forum posts to be as valuable input because most of them are extremely vague and ranty, offering no helpful information except that someone is having a problem of some kind.
CCP employees tasked with balance changes use their own data, but they also listen to input from players, occasionally discussing how a change will affect things and why they want to use said change. Those people are not responsible for fixing bugs. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.2 |

You sure are intent on making sure people know about bug reports Tarminic... WHICH IS A GOOD THING,... That was not a flame.
You point is understood, the "bug fixers" don't read the forums for info on what's gone wrong.. I have files two bug reports, as have many ppl from what i read here,, all we ask ios a "Hey we are looking for the problem" Which MOST IT departments do when you report a problem to them.

Your analysis means nothing.. the point was about lack of customer service and priority, NOT about the type of business.
Sure it's ALOT harder to run the international gaming server... but it's also VERY simple to type a post " We are looking into this problem and will fix it as soon as we can"... Instead of letting the players who can't even play the game... feel they are completly left ouit, forgotten and unwanted

Not looking into issues where people can't play the game at all is really stupid, ilogical and lame so why do you assume they aren't?
I assume they are looking into these matters because that would be wise, logical and would enable them to feed their kids.....
And why do you blame them for not posting on the forums when there are so many negative people here?
