Hi, I just started working on my own excel sheet for refining ores and such, now the problem is, when I try to calculate the yield using this formula
[Station Equipment] + 0.375x(1+[Refining Skill]x0.02)x(1+[Refinery Efficiency Skill]x0.04)x(1+[Ore Processing Skill]x0.05)
I get a yield of 50,38 when using these values:
Station Equipment 50, refining skill 0, refinery efficiency 0 and ore processing 0. When I look at Haladas excellent guide about mining, I notice that the net yield should be 87,5%
Have I calculated something wrong or is the formula wrong?
Oh, and in excel I have it written like this:
=B2+0,375*(1+B6*0,02)*(1+B7*0,04)*(1+B10*0,05)
b2 = station equipment, b6 = refining, b7 = refinery efficiency and b10 = processing skill.

Standing only affects the tax rate, if I remember correctly.

Are you entering the Station equipment value properly? (0,5)? Formula is right, just make sure you are putting in the correct values.

Ditto to this. I just logged on a noob alt to make sure nothing has changed and the results were 87.5%; you must be using the formula incorrectly.

Doh, stupid me, I had forgot to change the cell that holds station equipment info to a percent info :D Thank you :)

An easy rule of thumb is that you get perfect refine with 50% station equipment, >6.66 standing and 5/5/2 refining skills (refining / refining efficiency / specialist refine). So there are few circumstances where you need to get the specialist refine skills above level 2. Although my knowledge may be horrendously out of date...
