It takes me about 5 minutes to load the client (used to take 10-15 seconds) then once I enter my account info and connect, it freezes at either "authenticating" or "logging in" and shows me the above message.
Pinged the server and tested the telnet using the server addy and everything comes back fine. Played with firewall settings and everything seems to be running smoothly ... except for EVE.
I have updated all my drivers and tested my connections and firewalls and have no issues anywhere ... hell my system is running better than it has in quite awhile but simply won't load EVE. I am running this on the classic graphics, anyone have any tips on how I might try to resolve this ?

Servers are b0rked atm, i am currently stuck in the 'entering game as...' screen. (after the client got stuck while doing alt-tab and trying to reenter the game)

Same here. I was warping to a mission area when my ship suddenly stopped. Everything I tried it gave me the "Cannot due to warp in progress". I closed the game down and tried to re-enter but I am now stuck on the 'entering game as' screen as well.

Same issue, I was mining and things just froze up, so I closed the client and tried to log back into my character, but it's stuck on the 'Entering Game' screen. I can still log onto my other character just fine though, and he is in the same account...

same here. Waited for about 8 mins to enter the game. It's also pretty laggy since yesterday, even in systems with 9 in local. Seems that recent patch doesn't work too good

Those of you stuck at "entering game as (insert name)" have probobly a FPS issue, which makes the client load a lot slower. In some cases it has worked for the users to change the Depth/Stencil Format in the advanced display settings. Chaning this to something lower or higher could allow you to improve the FPS. This has not worked on all reported cases.

I have the same exact issue. And no... I do not have a FPS issue. I have a duel SLI card set up. CCP whats going on?

Couldn't log in first attempt, closed and opened client, logged in fine. Then just as I go to do something I get booted. I log back in and fine everyone is complaining of issues all over the clusters.
You servers are failing, plz fix, kthx bye.

i can no longer log on after getting desynced jumping through a gate. after sending a petition to be moved this is the reply i got

Having a similiar problem it either times out on the secure handshake or i spend ages looking at entering game stage. This is happpening on 2 acounts in a system with only 3 or 4 poeple in it, guess hamsters aint been fed this weekend

I havent even been able to get into the game, unless i bypass my router. Meaning i have to connect directly to my cable modem which ends up dropping the rest of my network. And playing like that i sjust NOT a viable option. If anyone knows a Fix for this i would be most greatful. It was working fine, but then after the extended downtime. It freees up at the authentication, or the downloading bulk data, then times out.
router is a Dlink 4300.

Stuck at entering game as screen too........  Game somehow lost connection and am stuck in space  Plus lotsa lag since the new patch. Just started paying for this buy Credit card I might rethink this choice

Well GM sorted this out for me in 13 minutes. Apparently the node was having issues (no brainer :D ) But must say prompt service

Had a similar issue yesterday evening between ashab and penirgman. Managed one warp and one jump in 30 minutes with several freezes log in attempts warp and jump attempts until i could finally dock at a random station and call it a day.

I just want to add that I cannot log in either, and have been unable to since Saturday evening.
Has CCP posted any information about server problems and when they will be fixed?
