OK so i jus got bk from uni, got my new comp, installed eve premium client on it (cud only play classic on old comp) and began playin it a few mins ago. Out in my retriever, and started mining...first thing i noticed was that the strip miner's sound completly different...i think they sound like mining lasers (aint used them in a while).
So am i the only 1 experiencing this? is there any solution?

Steps to reduce lag:
1. turn off sound.....there is no sound in space.

its not 'use classic client' the step 1?

I turned sounds back on the other day after the patch to hear the difference. I had Miner II's on one ship and strips on another. There is a huge difference in sound between the two. The strips have more of an explosive sounds and you can hear what sounds like rocks breaking apart. The Miner II's sounded like peon lasers. IMO I like the strip miner sounds...don't recall hearing them before the patch tho.

The solution is to run the Classic Client. The Strip Miners animation and sound is wrong in the Premium Client for some reason. I've bug reported it and it is flagged as a defect (and will be fixed when time allows). You could bug report it too if you wish. But I mostly run the Classic client, so it doesn't really bother me so much.
