Just a thought, if all this wreckage is causing system lag and not all the mission runners out there are looting/salvaging, a option to have npc's drop no loot/wreckage would be a useful toggle under options.
I know personally that I don't normally bother looting/salvaging level 1 missions and I do have friends who run as high as level four missions grinding out loyalty points who don't loot/salvage either.
Thats quite a mess left behind...

The option could be given at the start of each mission. If you click "don't create wrecks" then the mission reward could be increased a little.

Some people are making a living out of finding and salvaging those wrecks. I prefer to have a little extra lag if it keeps such options for making a living, alive.

well some people need to learn how to point the guns mounted on their ship in the right direction and earn their income in eve.
just because it keeps the homeless in our major cities fed, should we leave the trash they choose to go through on the streets? There are shelters in real life for the homeless and there are agents in eve :)
Edit: Disclaimer : This post does not refer to those who ask permission and join me in my missions doing salvage/loot detail. I was refering to the a$$hats who enter my mission midprogress and proceed to pillage/plunder without my permission.

sounds like a great idea. whenever ratting/missioning, i dont even have the wrecks show up on my overview, so having them not even be there in the first place would be a great idea. getting a little more isk reward / standing bonus / whatever would be just an added plus!
and if people want to make a living so to speak, they can go out to 0.0 and rat. some of the battleships out there have bounties as high as a million a pop. do that for a few hours a week and you can not only fund whatever you want to do in game, you can buy a GTC which saves you real life funds as well. Or stay in empire and mine. not nearly as good money, but ive made 2.5 mil an hour doing that.

would definately be better in the long run as there are definately going to be people who will want to keep the wrecks and therefore keeping the profession of salvaging alive for the people who scan down the missions as well as the runners themselves. In general a nice idea and would add to the need for speed initiative.
