I don't think you can compare a carebear in a hulk mining in 1.0 to an alliance in 0.0 that can harness moon mining, full scale t2 production, gets hauler spawns and so on. Your average carebear makes 5-10 million isk an hour mining in empire, 20 million if they rat in a faction fitted ship and they salvage. In 0.0 you can vastly outstrip what an empire carebear in a Hulk can earn. To replace the loss of a hulk may take a person a several days to a week in empire. To replace a carrier in 0.0 can be done in a couple of days by someone with decent productivity. You are a completely inept if you have empire levels of productivity while living in 0.0.
