CCP supply an experimental and unique product with almost no unscheduled downtime on cutting edge hardware set up in configurations which have little basis for comparison for purposes of troubleshooting. They've just finished running an Alliance PVP tournament and are now busy keeping Tranquility up whilst they try to further improve the playing experience for all.
I've spent 14 years working in IT support, customer support and in games QA and find that I'd rate them at least 8/10 for support and customer engagement, if not higher. I believe most of the players who have some idea of the enormity of your task in running Eve feel the same way.
Hope the hamsters are better soon.

Seriously, you are kidding right? Please tell me your kidding? Otherwise i will have to tell you, you have no idea what your talking about lol.
Key to a great business and a happy customer base? Communication blowing smoke like this up their ass will do nothing to help the situation.
As for their business decisions - well they speak for them selfs, they continue to drive the 'advertisement' machine forward while the server is barely able to cope with the people who are on it at the moment, then their QA department need a good kick up the ass to make them do the job their supposed to... quite simply the past two years for CCP have been pathetic.

Thanks for the ad hominem remark. I've spent the last year and a half supporting traders on the London stock exchange, thanks.

read both post, the truth is in the middle.
cc sometimes seems to do a bad job, but when compared to any other mmo developer, ccp seems to come out on top on most points.
ccp have basicly always been a mixed ag, they do allot of thigs for the customer base. but, as said, they are working on a somewhat rare project, wich wil have ups and downs.
it could always be better, but the only place where i would like some improvements is in forum feedback. but if thats the tp thing i want, then in my eyes theyre doing a damn fine job

Please don't spread misinformation like this. Companies with "award-winning customer service" get flushed down the toilet regularly.

Very scientific. Seriously stop it, business majors play this game and might lose a grade.

I agree with the OP. All things considering I think CCP do a fine job, and I've never had any issue with their customer service of the amount of uptime the EVE servers have. This may be because I don't expect perfection. Hell, I even played WoW for a month, a game constantly said to be run really well, and had more lag on every server I connected to than I get most of the time in EVE. I also saw just as many complaints about the customer service there..
Some people are impossible to please I suppose.
