Edited by: Conscious on 17/03/2008 00:31:40 I recently bought a Radeon HD 2600 card specifically so I could run the premium client without choppiness on my Samsung Syncmaster 2253BW monitor. Well Eve doesn't seem to want to run at all under it. All I get on the login screen is a distorted and blurry picture that I can barely find the 'Quit' button after I press escape. I'm running WinXP Professional fully patched. Things I've tried.
Reinstalling Eve from scratch Getting the latest ATI catalyst drivers Trying the Omega ATI drivers as a substitute (disaster) Same result under the Eve 'Safe Mode'
Any thoughts out there??

Return the card its a heap of ****
its a horrible card
work great when it works, but it has widespread issues...
when out on fleetops the gateflashes cause the card to crash (screen goes black for a few seconds while the card recovers)
does the same in cod4 and a few other games, i regret buying it... but ati just ignore the issues - my next card is definately gonna be an Nvidia -----------------------------------------------

I've got an HD 2600XT and it runs perfectly with EVE. One thing that you could try is to completely "uninstall" any of the previous existing drivers (seems you tried a few and they might conflict, especially non-official omega ones).
