is the way wastage is calculated gong to stay the same i.e. even with perfect ME levels on a print [say a T2 component print] you still get wastage applied for many runs.
this means that for jobs with high runs [i.e. component prints] you'll end up using more stuff

It will change so that the waste is always rounded up, so you will always get waste, but you will get less waste with larger runs. The current state is a silly half measure where they've changed the rounding to occur at the end, but not added the 'always round up' part of it.
So multi-runs will require less materials than single runs... when they eventually make the change. Perfect ME will be a thing of the past, there will always be wastage.

Wow... I can see why they did that... but I was really happy yesterday when I just started in industry w/ my year old char and found I only needed my T2 component BPOs to be at 6-10 to get perfect ME...

is there a reference guide for BPO's and they're "perfect" ME levels?

Thing that PO'ed me the most with that is that, for the sake of it, it essentially "added" requirements to all construction. Something which took 1 ferrogel now took 1.1 in the name of researching it down to 1.0, where in the past whether it was researched or not, it was 1.0

Yeah I've got my researchers now doing ME 100 on them when it was happy with sub 10 before ... [doing them at a POS so I'm not contributing to the escalating research problems]
I need to squeeze every last drop out of them now ...
