There was a link in another thread with a tutorial on this, but it was broken.
I'm looking for info on the linking permuatations of starbase structures. For example, Can 2 rectors/harvesters feed into the same silo, and how can you do this if it's possible? And can you have 2 harvesters mining the same type at the same moon?

No

No
1 moon mineral = 1 harvester per material
Harvesters cannot share output silos.
You can stack up silos on the back of each other so you have twice the capacity (the end silo fills up first).

Structures are linked in a chain, so you need a separate output per harvester.
You can only mine 2 of the same type if the moon provides 2 outputs of that type. Once you link the first harvester to a mineral output, that mineral will be removed from selection for subsequent harvesters. So a moon that shows as:
Platinum (1)
Platinum (1)
Slicates (1)
Can have up to three harvesters, but a moon with the following:
Platinum (1)
Slicates (2)
Can only have 2.

No moon shows up like that, each material only ever appears once, and the abundance has no effect. You can mine each different material exactly once per moon, for 100 units per hour.
