well sometimes the estimates are just way off and then it get annoying really fast.
and this time they arent off by like 15 mins but more like over an hour now from the first estimate

how would a more accurate estimate of server downtime change anything?
either you're timing skills to finish half an hour after DT, which seems like bad news given the week we've just had, or you are trying to squeeze your whole IRL into downtime.

My skill has 4 days left of training . It's just that time and time again downtime is extended then the extension is extended and then thats extended and yeah, you catch my drift.

The sad part is, I don't even have to squeeze to get my whole IRL into downtime.

I do this. I have no real life. Honest.
Or maybe I got home from work and... bah downtime is going to run into my sleep time, and nothing is open yet

CCP should employ the 'Scotty' method with their estimated time announcements. One would think the programmers to be sci-fi fans. Therefore having seen the Next Gen episode (Star Trek Next Generation) where Scotty explains to LaForge that you never give your captain an accurate estimate so as to seem a brilliant engineer when the task is completed before the estimate.
