Gekutami system in the Forge is crawling with Macros in the ice belt. I counted over 30 of them here tonight.
What's the best way for a low sp to pop a few?

Can you fly something decently sized? Smartbombing Ravens or other BS' are the most commonly accepted method, but depending on the sec status level, a few gank cruisers could probably do the job. Or contact any of the macro killing corps/alliances. Think the channel is Macro Intel or something like that. __________________________

Nah, the best I can fly is a tier 3 frigate. I'm lame.
I'll try to reach someone. I wonder if Goons are still on the rampage. :)

I wouldnt bother with goons, they're only interested in killing hulks belonging to real players.

heeeeeeeeeeeeee
and yeah frigates aren't going to do the trick, for large groups of macro miners you really need large smartbombs

It seems that the pre-requisit fitting for a mining barge or Gallente industrial is a civillian shield booster, does nothing else fit into these ships?
I'm wondering how or why none of these dead mining folks haven't wised up to the fact they need a tank on their expensive ships!

Answer - they're ISK Farming, so instead of actually installing proper tank mods, they just go about mining with minimal rat-fighting gear, and replace their ship if they ever lose them.
I have personally engaged more than a few Farmers, when they mistakenly removed their ice from my can, and when I've actually gotten a convo up to ransom them, not many of them speak English, and those who do, usually swear at me, and decline to pay any ransom.

Fun fact: the Hulk has less base powergrid than a rifter. ______________________________

Yeah, fitting a Hulk for anything but max yield/ tanking rats seems pretty pointless. And that's what it is, no big fat hairy deal but OTOH that's where all these ridiculous hulk tanks come from. ______________________________

Say "ni hao" in a convo and see how many reply with ^_^ hahaha. But no in seriousness you see guys named "Fish Station" in a hulk for 23/7 and that is how you tell.

I'll agree with that after a couple tried to gank my hulk while mining. After they bumped me, I tried to start a convo in local, and got painted and scramed instead.
GL in your hunt though, the ice macros in Gekutami have always been an issue.

I was actually referring to the victims on the Goonswarm killboard (a corpie posted above me). All the hulks on there that weren't macros had really crap tanks too.
Seems like some sort of disease.

If you dont care about making money off it, try petitioning it. I have personally seen a GM show up in a ship to investigate accusations.

Hulk base + eng 5 = 43.5 MW - 3xT2 strip = 7.5 MW.
I'm sure any suicide ganker would thank you heartily for the bits of whatever tank you've managed to shoehorn into 7.5 MW that actually drop instead of popping. ______________________________

See my other post here.
Taking into account the awesome base resists of the hulk you can get a really damn good tank on it.
