OK, I checked and even acrobat reader 8 has the problem. It's the giant skill chart thingy. I know it's nifty, but it totally screws up the margins of everything else.

Are the margins being too large causing any problems other then viewing? Let me know on here or in game about what issues it's causing. Along with the next update I'll release an "eve-compendium lite" for you with the oversized pages removed for your viewing pleasure. If you want a "lite" version of this current version give me a shout in game and I'll email you one. Sorry for any problems it's causing

It really is great reading that will kepp me occupied for quite a lot of time. Nice to see people help the community.
I do have a question or suggestion though - tried to read it on my Pocket PC (to be able to read it anywhere at all times:) ) and the text doesnt wrap or reflow as Adobe for Pocket PC calls it, because it isn't tagged (I think it's the right term). Is there something that can be done about it? I realy would love to be able to have this guide with me everywhere I go, to pass the time and learn new things.

I think this has something to do with the oversized pages included in the compendium. I have had NO time lately between my fiance, my birthday, work, and spring. I'll get my lazy ass up and finish the next version of the compendium which will include a version with no oversized pages for simple viewing. Hopefully that should fix some of the problems people have been having.

On page 207 of the current (1.5) version, It talks about a tactic with drones where you pull in the drones when they start to take damage and redeploy them to "instantly repair their shields". I must have missed that part. Been using drones for about a month and a half now and I have never once seen my drones "instantly repair their shields" by pulling them into the drone bay and redeploying them.
Also on page 208 it explains how drones will attack things beyond the control range if it has begun if they have begun their aggressive attacks. This is also not true. While the drones will follow targets outside the control range, they will not attack anything until it enters the control range of your ship, even if it is on their agro list.
I'm assuming this guide was written back in january. And revisions since then have fixed those bugs. That being said, the rest of the drone guide seems pretty solid.

What a great collection of data. Although I haven't been able to read through everything, it seems that nothing is missing.
Is there really a need to include every mission guide from eve-geek.com? These are prone to be changed frequently.

Unlike most of the other posters here, I do not see a reason to commend the Compendium, nor its "creator". Mainly for two reasons.
First, we do not need the Kill Mission Survival Guide there, in its entirety. You can cut off close to 300 pages by removing it. Leave the page(s) that tell us the basics about missions, but the other stuff can just be replaced by a link to the current location of the Kill Mission Survival Guide.
Second, much of the info in the Compendium is either outdated or repeated several times, sometimes both. I both know that the "creator" cannot edit this information without altering the guides (which would annoy the people that created the guides to begin with) and that the "creator" is aware of the redundant information.
Personally, I think that people are better off downloading/bookmarking the individual guides that they may need, and ignoring the Compendium altogether. |

Is it so hard to just produce a set of links to all of the relevant guides? Wouldn't it be a heck of a lot more useful? Does it really need to be able to be offlined?
