Does anyone know how effective a T2 tracking scripted Tracking Disruptor II is?

I believe its about 45% with good skills.
Tracking scripts, im not keen about. For rail, arty's and beam bs, yeh they work wonders. But with the falloff td boost, optimal scripts are better for anything else.
Of course there are exceptions, but my default would be optimal scripts.

I think it depends on the piloted ship. Personally I prefer to wreck the target tracking speed given in most situations I am running at high speeds anyway. You can certainly hose the optimal but then if they close range on you its roughly the same effect as charging a range-scripted damp ship...in other words...no effect rather than *some* effect.
I find it really works well on a Stiletto. Tackle from long range and slap the TD on appropriate targets.
Tempting to swap out a TP for a TD on a Rapier/Huginn though.

Do it. Painters are worthless in all situations. - Support fixing the UI|Suggest Jita fixes|Compact logs |

Edit: Actually, that's not true, they're useful for aggroing rats that are withing targeting range, but out of weapons range. That's the only use I've ever found for them.
I don't want to derail your thread...but I find TP's useful for a variety of reasons including the cool thin red line .

I'd probably do it, honestly. Even unbonused, it would provide virtual immunity to AC's unless they're falloff bonused and fit an ambit rig or two.

Yes, which is why I suggested doing it? It would take a falloff rig or two *and* a falloff bonus to overcome an unbonused TD enough to deal any damage.
Literally, TD's are uncounterable ewar now.

All you need is a TD, and not even 3 ambit rigs will save him.
Basically, guaranteed kill. Sucky mechanic.
Solution is, essentially, not to fly solo.

So is that with a falloff script, or a tracking speed script? - Support fixing the UI|Suggest Jita fixes|Compact logs |

Falloff, of course. It's way way more useful then tracking speed; removing range is much more powerful then reducing tracking (which is already rather effective if you're in a nanoship). Sig removed, inappropriate link. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] ~Saint |
