10x Light drones
5 in the bay
5 in space
During a mission I deployed drones as standard, did my thing, watched them mop up, and asked them to return to bay..
*POP*
5 in the bay
0 in space
Is this a problem that has always existed that has only jsut happened to me? Or is this something that could do with addressing? Has anyone encountered similar scooping/returning drone issues?

This happened to me earlier but the drones didn't pop they just were sitting there in space so I just scooped them and carried on my ratting.

Did you click abandon drone by mistake?
I recommend setting and using the keyboard shortcut for return to bay to ensure that such a mistake is not possible.

Definitely scooped.
Watched them soar towards my ship, then *pop*. Nada.
Seriously good idea to spend some time setting up shortcuts for drone actions also. Will do that from now on.

look on the bright side, at least they were cheap light drones and not t2 heavys

I've heard of this bug being encountered a few times, but it was at least a couple months ago. You should probably file a bug report. You could also file a petition and attach it to said bug report, but somehow I feel like 5 light drones isn't really worth it.

Same thing happened to me also.
I had 5x Hammerhead's II returning to my ship and suddenly *poof* I lost 6,5mil ISK.

Happened to me aswell, they never poped just stayed in space and at first I though I had accidentally pressed abandon drones (even though they were heading back to my ship when i lost them). I was frapsing at the time and I definatly pressed return to drone bay.
A little tense when you have half the system agressed and your drones are the only real weapon.

I haven't seen drones popping by themselves, but one thing that happens to me CONSTANTLY is the fact that drones won't return to the drone bay. It seems that 1 or 2 drones get 'confused' and just sit there, taking hits.
I have to cycle 'return and orbit' and 'return to drone bay' repeatedly for them to come back.
