its working...just have to be patient
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

Buaaaaaaaaah, I just had a node drop and can't log back in either. My prayers go to that the people I was fighting had a nodedrop too.
Now that's pirate whining

I keep teling the players that came over from earth and beyond ---- this game has inadequate customer support --- better to wait for world of warcraft or get use to lag and disconnect and no petitions being answered by ccp

MindBender, if you weren't warp scrambled, your ship might be fine thanks to the emergency warp system that takes your ship about 1au away from where you were in a random direction if you go offline while in space.
adoyrehtona, I think that "customer suppoer" here is better than you make out. Crashes doesn't equal bad customer support just because you can't log in instantly after a node failure. Thats a technical issue. As for petitions being answered, as long as theu are not swamped by loads of stuck petitions, mine have been answered within about 5-10 minutes and I am back to normal. Ask yourself what you would have acheived in that space of time had you been playing? Not much in the grand scheme of things. ------

I think this is simply not true. My two petitions were well answered and disconnects are rare

So far for me as a 1 month 1 week veteran , The lag is'nt really as bad as I hear people complain. It may also have to do with your type of connection..ie cable, dsl or dial up and what kind of machine you are running the game with. Disconnects are rare and lag is'nt a bother yet so no complaints from me yet.

Earth and Beyond had too little flavor for my tastes... and WoW isn't a space MMORPG, making EVE their only options that I know of.

yes, WoW will be *perfect,* they will magically NOT use the same CS model as every other mmog... you work for blizzard or something?
let's concentrate on the matter at hand, eh? Any chance of Red Button giving us a what's-up?

Totaly untrue. As we type the server is rebooted to fix the prob. One could agrue that the reboot is unnessecary, but hey thats just EVE aswell,. You'll get used to it, had a feeling a reboot was comming right after dt seeing the drops all over the place. As for the petitions. In my case stuck petitions get solved within 1/2 hour, other issues get solved withing a week depending on acuteness of the problem
relax and enjoy the game when the server gets back up :)

Well if you are not gettin hit by missiles from npc that seems to be broken and ccp says its not (like all times that they have broken items) then maby you will automaticly warp out.
But with missiles hittin you and speedometer rockin from 10-300mtrs because of some bug , then i dont think you will make it out, sorry m8.

Since the forum police locked my thread, here it is again.
And on the 7:th day, CCP said, "LET THERE BE LAG"
"And lag there was, and the participants saw that it made bad"
Having the loading screen for more than a minute is NOT fun.
Having half of your fleet de-cloak while they still have loading screen is NOT fun.
Having your screen freeze completely for 10 seconds while you have 7 enemies shooting at you is NOT fun.
Seriously, CCP, can you give more server resources to the route between 0sht-a and dss-ez? You may add 3L3 (xetic entry point), 4GQ (south base in stain), HLW (centre of curse) to these systems too. These systems see far more fleet combat than any other systems in EVE.
Most battles in other places are boring ammo-wasting fights from 100 km range. We REALLY FIGHT. 2 days ago, in v-3, we had about 40 pilots duking it out from 5 km range! Yesterday (screenshot), we had about 60 pilots fighting it out at close range in 3-okda. Last weekend we had other big engagements, in dss-ez and some other systems in this area, again in close range.
Cause as it is now, LAG is by far my worst enemy, much more deadly than any player ever can be.
Put the sever resources where they should be.
What is most important?
* That 60 alt characters can check the market in Yulai at once without problem?
or
* That 60 battleship pilots can fight in Catch and at least have SOME control over their ships?

Yup, for the 4th time today I have had serious trouble, kicked twice (and nearly lost my ship as I had just warped towards 2 55K mission rats in a rax) which was a bit disturbing.
I agree with the calls for upgrades, with 9K players online, there must be well over 12-5K accounts in total, time to put a bit of that cash back into the system.
Starsi dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them. |

No matter how many times CCP say I don't believe it. The servers will not hold 10k players. It used to be bad around 5k, then the servers were upgraded. Lag has got worse as player numbers have risen.
I don't really play at the moment. I'm waiting for server upgrades or for enough people to get fed up and go so the numbers go back down. Used play ten hours a week at least. I only log for skillpoints at the moment.

Funny tho, I havent encountered lag problems today. ANd I did relog several times. No problems with loading or entering game and-or systems.
