I played a long time ago and recently returned. I kind of like the whole sandbox ruleset but was wondering if anyone else liked these ideas.
1. Ships - Customization, give us the oportunity to change the looks (colors) of the ships. - nevermind this I found that its already coming.
2. Ships - Customization, let us remove internal components and upgrade them. Put in a better capacitor.
3. Ships - Walk around. Design an internal layout of the ships and let us walk around in those as well as the captain's room.
4. Avatar - Allow for customizing the base character. Not the clothing, the avatar itself.
5. Avatar - Allow for customization of the clothing. Change color of clothing, possibly add clothing patterns to allow characters to make clothing to sell on the market. |

1. Alledgedly, this is in the works. Has been for some time though, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
2. How would this be different to ship fitting as it is right now?
3. This doesn't seem practical, since your character needs to be in a pod to pilot the ship.
4. As far as I know, you can do this. The only thing you can't change are race, bloodline and gender.
5. This would be a neat feature after WiS has been properly implemented, which is unlikely to happen in the foreseeable future. Right now, it would be pretty senseless since you are the only one who can see your character from the shoulders down. |

Only in favor of #1. The rest are a waste of Dev time.
DEV time needs to be spent improving faction warfare, PVE missions, and Mining. |

The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the ho's and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' and I'll look down, and whisper 'no.' |

2. Was thinking replacing the engine of the ship instead of adding a micro warp drive to make it faster.
4. On one of my characters, I noticed a problem with the face, to me its a bit irritating and not wanting to have to rebuild the character from scratch, I was hoping to be able to adjust the appearance a bit. |

+1 for #1
2 could be interesting. I'd want to know about how it would be done differently than it is now.

I think the current fitting system is one of the aspects of EVE that are as close to perfect as they can possibly be. You can customize pretty much every significant aspect of the ship, and I think that introducing further complexity would mean pointlessly adding complexity for the sake of complexity. |

As much as I'd love to see more complexity in ship customization:

I have to agree with this statement. You can modify almost any ship attribute by modules, rigs, implants, skills, and boosters. Adding even more THINGS seems like an awful lot of work that just results in more confusion.
I'd much rather see one of those existing things (say, rigs) expanded (more rigs/rig types) and polished.

Yeah - they want to do that - personally I don't really care as I'm rather overview-oriented, but telling different versions of a hull just by looking at it will go out of the window...

They're called subsystems, rigs and modules. If you want to 'put in a better capacitor', put in a cap recharger, cap booster, battery, CPR, CCC, augmented cap reservoir etc...

You're in a pod...

Huh - last I checked there was a character customization screen in eve - it certainly lacks racial features etc..,, but compared to the earlier one it's rather accessible.
