Hello all,
I am a new player. I was originally going to 3 box mine as one of my friends told me it is a great way to make ISK. I tried it and I found it tedious and extremely boring.
I was thinking of using two accts: One for mission running and the other for mission running support on the main ship. IE shield transporting or cap transfer or something along those lines.
Still undecided about the 3rd acct. Might drop it or use it for trading, if I can learn how to do it, or something more exotic like exploration.
Anyway, I am looking for a small-medium sized corporation that is friendly to new players and refrains from such things as being pretentious, using the term carebear in a derogatory way (I can only assume everyone was once a new player :) ) , and is helpful in terms of advice.
I enjoy soloing but group ops and such is welcome as well.
Lastly, ventrilo or ts would be a super plus.

we are 90 members large, which I would say is medium.
we are helpful in terms of advice.
We do group ops quite often, but if you preffer to solo, then that's entirely up to you.
We have ventrilo server.

Hey there Crimson,
I am the Marketing Director at -FMI- (Fleeting Moments of Insanity).
I am also a new player to Eve Online. -FMI- is run by 2 very experienced and advanced people, Galliana Foresta and Gert Jan.
They took me in, trained me, guided me, encouraged me and befriended me. We are UK based and active, but relaxed. We will encourage and help you grow as a character in whatever way you see fit to.
We are active in PvP and PvE and often have wars with corps whom pray on the weak.

Sure. I'll chk both of you all out. I was thinking tho. Even if I find a corp. It would be nice to have a thread that compiles a list of all New Player friendly corps for lack of a better word....New players. :)
So I am going to edit the subject and if you are a New Player Friendly corp, please reply to this thread with a link to your recruitment page or ad and a few lines about your corp.
I feel the pain and plight of Eve's newer players and I think this might help a few people out.

Hiya Crimson,
One of the best things about Eve is that all of us are Noobs to something. I have been playing for a year and I just started running missions last week. Having an experienced corp with people willnig to answer questions really takes the game to the next level. Let me tell you a bit about us...
Spartan Fleet Systems is a small but growing corp. We have members skilled in Mission Running, Mining, Exploration and PVP. We donÆt focus on any one play style, instead we prefer to let each member do what they want. You wonÆt be a worker bee spending your play time gathering for some Queen with us. If you get on and want to run missions or rat or mine, then thatÆs what you do. We are all about having fun and enjoying your time in Eve, it should not be a second job. That being said, we do maintain some POSÆs and we do have some Corp OPÆs to gather fuel for them. We donÆt make that mandatory but we do ask every member to contribute occasionally, be it in the form of mission running for taxes or mining during an OP for ice. We also have our own forums and killboard in addition to the alliance.
Spartan Fleet Systems is a proud member of the Sylph Alliance. We have some great 0.0 space just 6 jumps from empire. The ratting is great and the roids are even better. We have access to jump clones to make your travel back and forth from empire fast and convenient. We offer our members ships and modules at cost. We have plans to create a manufacturing division and a PVP squad but we realized we need more help to make these projects successful. We still have leadership positions available in the Corp for those who earn them. We have a lot of experience in Eve and can offer knowledge to make what you do more successful.
What we are looking for:
-People that want to have fun but not at the expense of others
-No trial accounts
-People who understand that building a great Corp works both ways, the Corp has to help you and you have to help the Corp.
-People who do not expect Corp hanger access in their first month.
-People willing to help build a great Corp with a great reputation. If you just want access to 0.0 roids so you can make money and never join in a Corp OP then please look elsewhere.
-Reputation means a lot to us, if you think Eve is just a game and how you act in the game is not a reflection of who you are in real life, you are sadly mistaken and not what we are looking for. I would give open access to my personal hanger to any of my corp-mates and not worry about something being taken. Thas who we are and who we are looking for.
-We are not looking to build a large Corp of a-holes. We would rather have 20 men than 200 boys, we prefer quality over quantity and thatÆs what we are building.
-No minimum SP requirements.
If this sounds like something that might be a good fit for you jump into channel ôSpartan Shopö and say Hi or convo Larry Niven or myself and we can talk a bit and see if we would be a good fit for each other.
