Real quick, I'm thinking of getting into 0.0 moon mining and have no experience with it so I was wondering if someone could answer a simple question: what's a ballpark figure on how much isk profit could be made after subtracting fuel costs.
Thanks.

My advice would be to do some backtracking through this forum and read a few threads first. There is a lot you can do in 0.0 when it comes to moon mining: Are you going to just sell the raw mineral? Are you going to do some reactions? etc. And then there's the type of mineral(s) you will be using, the rarer something is the more valuable it is, but at the same time the harder it is to get because someone probably already has it.
You need to supply a lot more details before we could even begin to answer your question. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Automated Influence Map |

5-10m isk / week for a small POS, with an average, not *that* hard to find but you might have trouble finding one free material.
The only way to make *good* money is reactions and Promethium / Dysprodium moons which are all guarded by the larger alliances. Many of the thigns you mine and react still only are very close to 'break even' or even make a loss as alot of the POS's out there are out there anyway and people are just offsetting the cost of running them.

Thanks for the replies. I know I'm being very ambiguous but I was basically just wondering if doing all the research is even worth the effort if all I can expect is 5-10 million/week.
If I were to run a med-large POS mining an average metal and selling the reactions what range of isk could I expect to make?

You could sell R16 minerals for a profit if you mine your own ice and are willing to count that as part of your "moon mining" profits, for about 15-40mil/week depending on the mineral.
Evemail me sometime if you want to discuss this in more detail; I've done a lot of research. Please post constructively. ~Saint |

To be honest, what you really need to do is to scan the moons in the area you plan on harvesting, seeing what you find, then doing a whole bunch of market research.
I just started a moon mineral index at the MMI, but since volume is pretty low in non-Jita space, it's taking a while to fill up. _______________ Pwett CEO, Founder, & Executor <Q> QUANT Hegemony

The market for most reactions is pretty depressed at the moment, was a time when a couple of large towers could clear 150m/week profit quite easily. You really need to spend the time setting up buy orders for input, and sell orders for output as well as micro-managing silos if you want to make good margins, the rest the good profit is in simply doing ALOT of reacting.
For simple mining you need to look at the prices of the materials on the market (usually Jita as other markets don't have the throughput to give accurate prices). Then subtract fuel costs etc. Prices also vary quite abit from time to time so what can be a good money maker now may not be in 3 months time, and vice versa.
