Edited by: Keyes on 12/04/2004 19:38:14 Edited by: Keyes on 12/04/2004 19:37:52 Well i just managed to out run a massive B-ship blockade with all our favorite pirates at 0.0 PF-345 (189 ships, 113 pods destroyed in the last 24 hours)...
....in an Indy....
à Just a sign that there is still hope for us traders to make a living
No hard feelings whoever was in the blockade, it happens to alot of battleships

Pf-346 has always been the gank capital of EVE.
Why people keep jumping in there i'll never know. The story about the giant Omber there is lies I tells you. (Someone once said its as big as a whole belt, and when you mine it, it makes Bistot spawn and the NPC's flee.)

good for you!
Its exactly this kind of silly boosting that makes people gank you uppon sight...
Maybe then you can come back here and tell everyone how you got griefed by the ebil pirates
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

I donÆt understand, shouldnÆt a non aggressive player have a fighting chance against pirates?
Perhaps you guys need super pirate lasers which only super cool pirates can get and that work to destroy any industrials within a 20,000 AU radius around your ship.
Or maybe a gigantic space net, which captures industrials in it and slowly dissolves their hull?
Or perhaps you need an iris around the gate, so now ships can get in our out until youÆre ready to blow them up?
Oh, oh, I know, CCP needs to rename EVE ôUBER SPACE PIRATES,ö remove all signs of infrastructure and economy, destroy asteroid fields, and populate every system with industrials for players to blow up. ThatÆd be really fun wouldnÆt it?
I find it funny, pirates boast all day long about their kill upon a poor newbie who doesnÆt understand why heÆs dead, and the second an industrial blockade runner says a word, all he gets is flamed.
Congratulations Indy blockade runner, may the pirates you face continue to be as inept as they are stupid.

Also, I am sorry if I mistook you for a pirate, your grammar, your signature text, and your stance on PVP misled me.

Grammar
And no, it does not, but it does generate a very solid first impression, itÆs not a good one, but it is solid and that much can be said for it.
But weÆre getting off topic; this thread is about an industrials victory over a pirate, you can berate him if you wish, but not me.

LIES. We must take the opportunity and mine the Dark Ochre there! It's all very much doable, I have concocted an elaborate scheme outlined in a 451 MB .pdf file which I am about to post the link to on our forums! Trust me Gan, the Dark Ochre will be ours soon!

LOL!
OMFG j00 r teh uber nublar!
People DO have a fighting chance...everyone does. Everyone in EVE has the same acces to weaponry and ships AND skills in EVE. Everyone can train anything..heck you can even boost up your attributes i EVE so you take NO training hit or racial disadvantage AT ALL. EVE is probably the most free game ever where you can gain experience in combat abilities while not actually parttaking in combat!
In fact. Some pirates are disadvantaged in combat because they have low security rating and hence will not have the advange of sentryguns or concord fighting on their side if they become attacked.
Its not a thing for the wealthy either. I think most pirates need to manage their recourses quite closely if they wish to continue their way of gaming!
I have no idea where you hear all these pirates boast all day about killing newbs either. Obviously you must not have had tomany dialogue with pirates.
Its not about killing innocent newbs, its not about whining to get what you want and no, pirates are not in a position of advantage! Obviously indies dont fight back. Thats what makes them the primetime income of pirating. They are helpless and usually stocked with goods. But even so most pirates will not run from a fair fight. But they will run when the odds are simply overwhelming...
its called being sencible and carefull with recourses. Its called having enough skill to survive in EVE doing some of the most dangerous things you can do in EVE.
You should maybe try to get some skills and some common sence. I bet that would help you alot whne you make your next post.

well, either the pirates were asleep, the indy-pilot should go buy a lottery ticket or... either way i really don't think it should be possible for an indy to "...out run a massive B-ship blockade with all our favorite pirates...". the indy shouldn't get through w/o a heavy escort. as it is today, you have to be very careless, very unlucky or new to the game to get killed by pirates, or non-pirates, by a gate or station or whatever.

PF-346 is almost always good for a bit of fun. Never know who you might run into.
And it's good for the game. Luminaire's bustling economy depends in part on people getting the crap blasted out of them 2 jumps away.
Gank them and then sell them a new ship... --------------
