When I first started playing this game, I could have sworn that one could change from npc corp to another (provided both corps were part of the player's faction). After starting a new char, it turns out that this was a false memory fabricated in the warped depths of my mind.
Anyway, I think that CCP should allow players to do this.
NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG! I prefer 0.0 to empire and don't get why a lot of people remain in npc corps. However, I think this idea would be great because it would make roleplayers happy (I'm guessing?) and it would allow empire dwellers to escape the free trial kiddies from WoW, as well as the majority of spammers.
in addition, it would make it easier for people doing a mission for the Khanid navy, for instance, to find eachother, hook up and pew pew.
Thoughts?

Actually it was possible to join different NPC corps earlier, my currently inactive main used to be a member of Caldari Navy for example, don't know why they removed it though.

Aha! So I'm not going crazy. Yeah, I don't see the logic in the removal of that feature. it's a very smal feature but I liked it, none the less.

Yup, if you look at Tank CEO's history he was in Archangels and there was another person who's name I forgot who was in Concord.

So why was it removed? Because of factional warfare on the horizon?
