well, another roam has ended, a few good fights were had, when i stumble across a hurricane in a belt.
engaging his shields quickly evaporate and he goes into armor.
his armor is evaporating and then i stop shooting. jammed into oblivion by an alt in a noob corp :(
i havent even been picking easy fights today, a properly fitted hurricane and a zealot are about evenly matched at close range
oh well, time to break out the sacrilege

TBH fighting a Cane in a Zealot within web range is a bit risky unless you have backup. Because if he has backup (which apparently he did), you die. Had you orbited with scorch you could have at least gotten out if things got bad.
You might as well just train up a Falcon alt yourself though. Everyone else is doing it.

Looking at the rapier in the mail, I assume he wasn't in web range. Until the rapier uncloaked.

I switched from the arazu and started training up to get in a falcon as soon as I heard about CCPS riduclous nerfing of sensor dampners.
Now i am a falcon pilot, I can say that it is incredibly overpowered, and far superior to the arazu even pre nerf.
Having a backup falcon alt, will increase your life expectancy ten fold. In the OPS case, one jam on the hurricane and he has 20 seconds to warp off.

Ugly Angel is allways a bait for "noobfleet" sometimes he baits for small gangs like this one, but usually 20+ gangs, and yea, you should of loaded scorch

Even if its not a trained alt I bet they use an alt scout if they can. Once the cat is out of the bag you can't put it back in. Solo is dead. Etc.

When you use an alt it isn't technically solo anymore, is it? And yeah, a Falcon completely shuts down whatever you're engaging, so you can just gank it and you can bail if a blob is incoming because you're not tackled. They're nifty.

Falcons are only effect when not guarded against. Fit a back up array and they quickly become average, couple that with an MWD instead of the afterburner and light jamming drones and hey presto you can engage and often survive the solo game.
