Some other MMO's run "council" style affairs, which are basically groups of players or forum warriors/Community leaders who get flow over and take part in "brainstorming" sessions on developing the game forward.
How this eve "council" will differ from becoming a glorified markating & brainstorming exercise, remains to be seen.
