I was looking to turn in some of my old named signal amplifiers for some Tech2 versions. But i've run into a hurtle.
Notice in FIG. A that Signal Boosters still have a Targeting Speed Bonus. And my named Signal Amplifier (Type-D Attenuation Signal Augmentation) has a Targeting Speed Bonus. But the Tech2 Signal Amplifier does NOT have a Targeting Speed Bonus.
Is this factual? Or is the Targeting Speed Bonus really obsolete, replaced by the Scan Resolution Bonus?
So is Targeting Speed Bonus a typo? Or is it just not a Bonus for Tech2 amplifiers? But it is a bonus on a named tech1 amplifier?
I dunno..

Same boat, I got a Alumel-Wired I Sensor Augmentation and it got a 57.5% targeting speed, 1.575% targeting range and 57.5% scan resolution....looked at the tech2 sensor booster and saw the super-low targeting speed and forgot about getting a tech2 one.

seeing how scan resolution is the direct determiner of locking time I would say the locking speed bonus is no longer actually used, its just useless info they haven't bothered to delete quite yet.

I had a mod that increased both scan resolution AND targeting speed, go figure that out. :/

Like the ones this thread is about?
It's obsolete. Doesn't work.

Someone writes about this everyweek and it is a useless stat. It used to be that ships had a specific amount of time to lock any target, when that was the case they had a "targeting speed" multiplyer. They changed the way targeting works and it now has to do with your scan resolution and not the old "targeting speed" so this stat means nothing at all. 0verkill Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean we aren't out to get you.
