This Fraps video covers the two fleet engagements on the first day of war, Thursday, Mar 20th. Noob Mercs had a 71-man fleet made up mostly of T1 Frigates with some Cruisers. Fallout had nearly all T2 and T1 Frigates for the first battle and then switched out for a BS + Interceptor fleet for the second battle. The first battle was covered on EVE-Radio in real time.

Haha thats how eve fights should be. Screw the primaries and stuff, every man picks one target and goes after it, like a real battle :D

 was a great fight low lag till the end was even able to get in on 4 kills props to fallout for comeing in outnumbered to cya around fallout

Listening to DJ Funky Bacon has made me want to join the noob mercs for sure. Just him alone makes it sound totally awesome.

Man! Seriously! This video is an Epic!
The slideshow intro is nice for setting the mood and the initial fighting is pretty okay, but it really kicks off during the first fight where you synched the warping away - warping back with that fast paced song, AND you emerge into a fleet war that I'm going to have wet dreams about! Just that song and that view of the fight: Pure indiluted awesome  My whole face *****ed into a huge grin. Thank you!!
I'm going to use this as propaganda to recruit my classmates into Eve now  |

Unfortunatly thats all there really was of the war....
Once it wasnt on radio it was basically 10 or so guys throwing rifters at us from a station..... granted they were cool guys and we had some fun 1vs1 noobship fights and the like... but we would have liked to see more fight from noobmercs than the first radio battle... (where, in the film, you dont see them getting thier a*ses handed to them and losing all.... but hey.. its thier film.. to be expected...)
Wheres the fight guys? We have asked time and again... one big fight does not a war make.

The first night of the war was really fun with that massive fight across 3 systems.
But tbh since then, its been a kinda disappointment..

Shooting at suicidal Rifters, Reapers, Ibises and Velators is boring. Esp if they dont undock all at the same time to have a slight chance.
I declare this war useless, incompetent and a waste of my valuable time.
They dont even drop free trit..

First off that trit is a valuable commodity. We are looking towards the future here and that future will be built on delicious minerals foolishly left in our cargo by insurance companies. Yes we are building that future trit by trit.
Secondly, station camping is a sure fire way to make us go play our mains.
You want a fight? Go warp to a planet at 0 then tell us to come and get it. Our tech 1 blasters shall light up the sky!

15' WT's spotted in Amarr last night, by the time we had a small gang running you all logged. Although, the explanation of being Decced' by a different corp which was around aswell, was good enough for us to hold on.
Lets see if we can get some people to stay in Amarr today, and get some fights going :)

Actually, this video covers both battles on the first day, and the whole second half is us getting our rear handed to us. Toward the end, I even toggled overview to show gangmates in order show off the quantity of our pods. |
