Hey,
I got 2 mindlinks now and everytime someone asks me to go on an op I have to say "Sorry, I cant, I have to wait 24 hours until I can switch to that 2nd clone"...
Can't you add a feature to just change your implants without having to jump everytime? Just as you switch between different ships? I see no problem with that. Jump clone rule is ok, as you cant just dock up and jump everytime you see a hostile ship in front of your station. But implants are just annoying to use atm.

so everytime you wish for a mindlink change, you are going to pull the one out that you don't need, insert the one you need, rinse and repeat? --------------------------------------

hmm.. i think this is a great Idea . Maybe they can make it so that you can fitt 2 imp's on one slot and you can switch , that you use all second imps or all first imps. .so you can switch from fight imps to leran imps, or so . Every hour ... ?! I mean it so that you have 2 "tabulations" where you can switch between . example :
1 | 2 <- tab's between you can change it every hour or so . -------------------- 1 | 1 <- imps slots . 2 | 2 <- imps slots . 3 | 3 <- imps slots .
i'm sorry for my english but i hope you understand me :-)

Well, there are a few implants (hardwirings, snakes etc) which are a bit to expensiv to pull it out...

I think implants are deliberately designed to be annoying, to stop people like you from nber-powerplaying. This game-design technique is called balancing.

Implants are meant to be ISK sinks. Making them interchangeable would defeat this purpose. If you want implants worth a couple billions, stick with them. Having jump clones to vary implants is already enough of a buffer. -------- Ideas for: Mining Clouds

Edited by: Pete Stalker on 28/03/2008 02:54:13 I spend more than half a year paid skill time to get my leaderships up. I specialized into one direction. Sorry, but that's no "uber-power-playing" and I totally fail to see, how you can call it balancing. You can switch your hardeners on your ravens for different missions aswell, don't you?
CCP could just add a feature to switch between different slot 10 implants, that would be more than enough.

How about a new implant then, that acts as "switchbox" for two normal implants. Make it expensive and requiring Cybernetics 5. Another ISK and time sink. A podding will hurt even more than before. -------------------------------------------------- I'm a rich person. How I know? I can afford to be a miner. |

Or a "Mindlink Operation" implant which allows you to load "mindlink-scripts" into the gang moduls, just as it is with sensor boosters etc. And of course you could use only one typ of mindlinks for each ship.

mindlinks may effect a lot more ppl and I know it's a pain (=s just getting into the command ships myself). but imho making it instant switchable would be a bit overpowered/unbalanced I think. Everyone has the implant switching problem it's just that command ship pilots feel it so much more cause our implants make a much bigger difference than most.
Instead I'd propose more skills for jump clones. eg a 10% time reduction and advanced clone number skill that take lvl 4/5 of the basic skill to train. yeah i know time reduction skills have been sugested before but I still think that's the best way.
Another idea is to move the different mindlinks to different slots. that way you could have all mindlinks in at once and not have to worry about switching clones at all. This would make it possible to have multiple types of mods on one command ship though (eg. armour res, shield res, ecm res, sig radis all on one command ship with implant bonuses).... this idea presents some risk/cost as u can't use the other implant slots and u risk more isk when u get podded but still seems a little overpowered

how about not having every leadership mindlink take up the same slot? you have faction implants that go across multiple slots for the nano boys, why not focus each implant slot on a particular leadership role, 6 for siege, 7 for armor, 8 for info, etc. why should the people that spend the time and money to get the leadership skill up to the point of using them have to choose only one, i can fit multiple leadership mods on a ship, why not in my head?
